Oilers/Canucks

Does anyone know why the Oilers are so heavily favored to win the series against the Canucks? This just seems bizarre. On April 13th less than a month ago Edmonton had a moneyline of -115 against the Canucks at home.

My guess....Canucks turned it around in 1 year...very happy with season...happy to make playoffs...happy to win first round....thinking missing some pieces still missing to go deeper into playoffs.....On the other hand the Oilers have been building to win the Stanley Cup....Mcdavid the greatest player in the league is very hungry and determined...I believe they finally got the team around him....but you still have to play the game and anything can happen....momentum..chemistry..luck also play into the factor in winning it all..cheers

 Find it very curious,Canucks the higher seed and were 4-0 against the Oilers this season....Go figure.

Demko out until at least game 5 which probably means not playing this series.

I would love to hear from anyone laying -260 for the series.  Even -130 Game 1 seems a little high.  Looks like books are begging for Canucks action.

The Canucks really aren't that good.

The Oilers are the far superior team. 

-295 now at Fanduel.  Wow.  I get Demko out.  Noone has faith in the kid Slivos?  Was his 1.7 GA/G and .938 SV% in his 3 games last series not good enough.  I know I didn't have faith in him game 6 on the road but kind of a believer after that game.  Nashville was 10th in GPG in regular season at 3.24.  Edmonton was 4th at 3.56.  DeSmith got the last W in the regular season series at Edmonton 3-1.

Canucks swept season series  4-0 with 3 wins by the 2+ goals.  The team that won the regular season series has won Game 1 every time in playoffs.   9 for 9.  Before the LA series Edmonton was 0-6 in game 1s of a playoff series in last 4 years.  In the last 3 years the over is 6-0 in Edmonton Game 1s counting LA.  3 of the 4 regular season game went over.  I'm leaning over and know I shouldn't touch the Canucks but not sure I can help myself.

that is something I see happening with the oilers up 3-2….game 6. Close out?
