If you spend a good chunk of your day researching and you have a good all around feel for two maybe 3 games. I like 3 personally.... like you can reason out that the games are on lock down or at least two are and one a coin flip. Than yes a parlay controlling for unit size prolly to no more than 1 unit can make sense.
I see most people stay far away from parlays on the board at least on what people tend to post.
That's conservative and we'll smart but parlays when done correctly leverage your time research and money.
I'm barely a scratch capper admittedly but being forced into OLG s proline for now playing 3 to 6 teams for cash in hand I will start incorporating 3 teamers in the future at my book.
Let's get rolling ladies and gents!
Oh for the novice capper getting lucky on parlays is usually a bad starting point to learn properly. Learned that myself!
Anyhow justa post

I'd pick 3 and do a round robin parlay.

Key on 2 games $1003 or 4 games $505 or 6 games $25Win your 2 keys and the other 2 bets are gravy.
You have a keen eye Vanbuck! Just want to know if it's experience , instinct or research/ nfo which guides you initially. wink wink
I do like trying to spot the softer lines and parlay them together if not for the win it's exciting as all Ha But yes for the win.
So my strategy right now is usually two hockey plays including an o/u opp. if presented and a soccer play usually a draw. (cause they pay big and soccer draws a fair bit). Like and follow both sports.
Just in between whether it's better to take the likelier win on three faves. Or call an underdog / draw on the three teamers and the larger payout. Once again limited to OLG s 3 team minimum for now.
Anyhow MUST start to TRACK plays.
I think a 57.5 win percentage is not impossible. You just gotta do it. If you enjoy sports and capping and a little a wagering / gambling than experience has gotta count. Those that do this professionally know this. Just don't lose your shirt before you get started and as the OLG says know your limits and play within it. ¥^ ¥
So hit the Ducks and the Pens now hoping for a Napoli / Zurich draw tomorrow to cash in.
O. K starting to get ahead of myself again.

Now my heads spinning, you hear not to bet round Robins and parlays in general but I think it's prudent to look at each available option. Def NY Bartender will read up on the round robin I have a general idea what they are just not a detailed one!

I agree with NYB. I believe in those situations round robins are the correct play. This is only my second season capping pucks, and just like everybody else I've had some success, some really bad plays, some lucky payoffs, and some brutal beats.
All that being said my thought process, especially on a night like tonight is to find what I believe to be the three best plays. I will play all of these games straight for 1 unit a game, I will play a parlay for 1/2 unit, and I will play a round robin by 2's and 3's for 1/4 of a unit each way, which ends up equaling a full unit.
I welcome all thoughts, good and bad regarding my thought process.
Thanks

This is very good info, for the ones that don't have access to online betting. I am a victim of such (max the credit card out just once, 10 yrs ago...) but I have since redeemed myself. I used to play proline/spread/pools all the time. I was just giving my money away. The key is, bet the absolute minimum games, like the man says...two SU & an O/U play parlayed with one of the SU plays = 3 bets on one ticket. EG. MTL with the U 5.5 with CHI to win SU. That's the min for that but if you do the spread, it's 2 games, but you have to put down big bucks to make it worth it...Was that what you were saying, Polo? I watched one of your videos, once, Jordano, and I thought that's how you 'splaned it, no? ...just my two cents. Carry one, dudes. P.S. Don't play that example. It's just that, an example. No research on the teams, on my part.

I like to parlay 1st periods, If you find 2 good over 1 1/2 1st period then parlay that with a coin flip or better under 1st period that eliminates the juice on the overs. Very seldom do you have a minus juice on a under play and there are a few good under 1 st period teams out there.
Dallas 1.1 avg that is total for and against
Detroit 1.3 avg

Kidding, kidding...Just happy my betting privileges restored. Miss one anniversary = 2 weeks of bingo... ugh Showered my love with nights of bingo (hey, what ever works, eh?) Now, my muzzle off, my book password restored....ahhhhh... onto the games!
Sorry Kenny. I won't hijack your thread. Oops.

Parlays are never a good idea , EVER. But that’s what I bet 80% of the time.
Too many times I’ve seen that one team you love as a -205 favorite , LOSE. And darn up all of your parlays. It’ll happen tonight when everyone takes Preds.

Is nobody truly the questioning how good the Preds really are? I certainly am, way too inconsistent and I'm actually thinking about a small play on the Habs tonight...…...
