Just resigned. Anyone know why? Was liking CAPS tonight, not sure how i feel about it as of now.
Maurice resigned saying "the team needed a new voice" , not very often a coach will realize that and move on before being fired . Class act

Being fired and walking out of your team is 2 different things and different emotions. The players do not agree with him but they said that's his choice and they just have to move forward. It's shocking to them. Scheifele said it's a good day for the coach but it ain't for him. Paul Maurice said that he stopped enjoy going to the rink since the bubble. maybe he was the problem all along

Was listening to the power play with steve kouleas and he asked Jim Rutherford his opinion on the matter and he shared back in the late 90's Bob Gainey was Coach & GM of the Stars. In 96 he stepped down from coach and focus on full time GM. In comes Hitch and the rest is history. Jim remembered asking Bob what went into his decision and he replied, "I remember walking into the room with the boys and as a coach, it's your job to spread belief and trust the process etc.. He was giving another speech and boosting moral and he happened to catch Derian Hatcher eye, and at that moment he knew his team wasn't buying in anymore. As you know Hatch was the wearing the C at the time and when he lost his captain, he knew.

@Ju_lie
Time will tell. They have talent and with the additions on the backend in the off-season combined with big Buck sitting backstop I definitely had them in the playoffs.
