Philly + money in Fla? Any1 else puzzled??

OK what's up here? We have arguably the best team in the East so far (up there with Ott & Car) vs. a mediocre to poor Panthers squad.
 
Not only is Philly winning (6-1) (5 in a row) but winning convincingly.
 
They lead the league at 4.00 goals/game. Fla is 27th at 2.12 goals/game.
 
Philly is 2nd in GA per game at 1.71. Fla is 16th at 2.88.
 
So whats up? My reports have Biron starting? Does home ice mean that much? Vokoun has stolen a few games for Fla but favored???
 
I'm gonna grab a unit now and wait & see if I'll break-the-bank on this wager ...????????

Funny you posted this because I was about to pose the same question
 
No one significant injured for the Flyers.
 
Biron has GAA 1.57 and S% 0.952
Vokoun 3.00 0.913
 
Flyers D has shut down everyone this year (excluding game 2 at the start of the year vs Oil) and they scoring twice as many goals as the Panthers.
 
The only thing I can see is that Florida swept the Flyers in all 4 games last year.
 
But - new season, new players
 
Gotta lay some $$$ on the hot team right now.

First FLA at home is a different Team. And the Flyers are of to a good start but they are not going to win the next 8 games.

that line already got pounded to -110 each way offshore. was a definate "LMM" (line makers mistake)

Good point above on Fla winning the last 4 of the series, maybe that was part of the LMM - but if you follow hockey, you'd know this Flyers team don't look much like the Flyers team from last year!

Philly last season "The Fruitflys", this season so far "The Superflys". to me they look like a clone of last seasons Ducks. a large skilled team.

 Go Flyers.  My goal before the season start was to pound the flyers until the lines caught up.  they have not caught up yet.  not to sure about this bet, but I am going to keep betting them until the prices get to high.

Depends how much you're betting. Unless you're betting very large amounts or your feelings on the game have changed I'd definitely ride it out.

Vokoun has slightly better SV% at home vs Biron's Away SV%

Florida is strong at home, posting a combined total of 115% in special teams ( PK%+PP%) whereas phillies is 102% away.

shots are about even.    that's my study...as i'm not touching this game.   i did take over 1.5G 1st period.  hope i'm right based on the statistics.

Out of curiousity and being Canadian - I just checked the govt. sanctioned rip-off sports lotteries and they had the Flyers favored big from the get go. Is the Cdn. gov. smarter than Vegas ???

Got 3 units tonite on the Flyers at 3 different +$. Lets see it pay ...

Florida was an edge on Proline paying 2.10 early today when they were early favs.
 
I may take them on PL (even tho I got Philly on MB) with Bosox and the Bosox hitters to win.

Maybe it's a trap, and if it is, then congrats to the linesmakers, because they got me.
