McDavid was injured in Columbus on a play as he was tripped at the blue line by a player who had no business sticking his stick in his feet. Zach Werenski trips McDavid as he blows by him and he didn’t even get a penalty on the play!

 I know who I think is the better TOTAL hockey player and it not even close I also know who is the better sniper. I do think McDavid has a combination of both, which is scary. Don't get me wrong. McDavid is by far and away the best player of this generation. I think he has improved over the years in being a leader/captain and learning the game. He is more Sid like than Ovi like. Ovi is good for one thing, Sid and Connor are good for all things. Am I making any sense or just babbling? McDavid imo, is not where we can say he is better than Sid at this time. Give it some years and I might eat my words and say you were right.

 Doc, Ovi is 3rd in all time career hits with 3,662. He is 6'3'' 240 pounds. In his prime he was destroying the league with devastating body checks on a nightly basis.  

Love the discusson like civil people....Yes, Ovi could lay your ass out but I never saw his ass go and back check to chase someone down to prevent a goal. In all truth, all 3 are HOF'ers. I am bias because Sid played a 200 ft. game his whole career. Oh and btw...Sid is 53-37-4 vs Ovi  Take that Piroozi

 come on man...you and I both know that we got to witness two great hockey players in a heated rivalry. Hell, I am trying to think is there anything like that in today's game? Those two were must watch TV when they met. Nope, nothing in the league like that today. 

Not a pens or caps fan, but I’ll take Sid over Ovi everyday. I am biased for the all-around game though over the elite 1-trick pony. Give mcdavid a few more years and see what he does on the ice with that talent.
