I can not find the rules anywhere, does anyone know if there is overtime in the preseason games? Or do the games end at regulation regardless if it is tied.&#xA;thanks

I don&#x27;t think there is OT, I believe they end in ties

checked last year, yes  there is overtime and shootout

This was a 2015 article that I googled "nhl preseason overtime rules" that stated:

"Preseason games tied at the end of regulation will use the same extra-time procedure as during the regular season -- a five-minute, sudden-death overtime period using the new 3-on-3 format, followed, if still tied, by a shootout."
