Ok...educate me. Which league is considered the elite of Jr. hockey in Canada? The QMJHL, the OHL or the WHL? I do know that the QMJHL has dominated the Memorial Cup for the last several years (Thanks to Patrick Roy?). I follow mostly the OHL. I hear the WHL is more physical? Need some input, mainly for next year. I do think the London Knights take the Memorial Cup this year.
Thanks and looking forward to the education.

Not sure I know the answer to your question GA…. I do know I’m cheering for Hershey to win back to backs in the AHL as I placed a decent sized future on them a few weeks ago.

I'd say OHL but really, it changes from year to year depending on talent level in either Quebec, Ontario or out West.
Used to be that the Q would develop the best goalies but that's not really the case anymore. The WHL has had a reputation for developing the best Dmen and was traditionally the more physical league but again thats not so much the case any,ore
I live in a town with an OHL franchise. I have seen some of the great players come through here during their Jr. careers - McDavid, Stamkos, Nurse (played on our team), etc. just to name a couple. With the OHL, the league is dominated by the London Knights. The Hunters have done a terrific job with that franchise over the years and attract the top talent. That's why the Knights are competitive year in and year out. With the way the OHL draft is handled, you can get kids who will say they are going University route, then get drafter by the Knights and then will report to them. A teams reputation goes a long way. If you produce alot of NHL draftees you will get the young kids to report. Our franchise, the Soo Greyhounds, used to be a doormat, but we finally got good coaches, GM and have produced alot of NHL talent over the years which helps attract younger kids trying to make pro.
Anyways, I can go on and on here but to answer your question, it really depends on year to year. I agree with you though, I think the Knights take it but Saggy will be tough and I think its going to be London/Saginaw in the final
