Today at worlds the USA plays Czech Republic. The Czech team just got Pasta and Zacha from Boston and Necas from Carolina …. They got a couple of days to get the jet leg off and finished very good roster with Dostal / Mrazek in the net… unlike NHL playoffs where the home crowd doesn’t matter much … in this case it means everything. Déjà vu to Nagano….. give me Pasta and company…. $500 to win 560 …. Double of my normal… good luck if anybody joins….

Happy we did it!! I am originally from Prague , I understand that today the life there stayed still… had the feeling that the team just couldn’t loose because unlike the US team the Czechs will give it not only everything but especially their heart….

Sweden is dressing 18 players from NHL…. Which means they will have 18 out of their 25 best players playing for Three crowns… unlike the US team they are much like the Czech team…. Band of brothers playing together as one… was listening on a Czech radio an interview with Martin Necas and I know it’s not only him but he could speak on behalf of everyone….” It’s one life time chance to play in the biggest event at home, in my country, in front of my family and the whole nation…. We have a great camaraderie and play for each other…. “…. There you have it…. There will not be a lack of motivation, this will be like a game 7 in Stanley cup finals…. Both teams will really want it , maybe a lucky bounce here and there will decide the game… don’t understand why the Czech team is plus 135 …. Maybe word war 2 put this nation together as one… the same feeling brings this world champions into life of a small country and it’s ordinary people…. You can take any Stanly cup finals team and yes they play together, but they are mix of players from different countries and everyone takes this as a job that makes them a lot of $$$…. This world championship ….as a player you play for much more than $$$…. It’s been 14 years for them to win it all , the team got lucky that Boston and Carolina lost in Playoffs and this team is very special….ordinary bettors look , roster, last few games, trends…. And place their bet… this world championship Czech team has far more than just what a regular bettors would even consider because they are not used to see that and maybe ( unfortunately) don’t understand that…. Because they were born and raised differently…. The same applies to the players…. I hate to say it because I could be judged or could be wrong with this statement but all players on the Czech Republic team will give it everything possible in their power to be the best they can be…. Tell me you can say that about any team in nhl…. And don’t underestimate the home crowd…. People don’t go there only to watch a game…(Dallas Stars). Canada did not make it all the way… I wished for your team to make it because the Czech team would be the underdogs and God knows. Niko Hershier from the Devils, Kevin Fiala who is a great warrior from the Kings, Roman Josi from the Preds and last but not least Niedermeier…. I have a great respect for all these players, they are the best players not only on their team in NHL but the entire NHL….I don’t know if you knew but last year the people in Czech Republic, the fans, media …. Voted David Pasternak the best player in the Czech Republic… the team was extremely lucky that Carolina and Boston were not only out of the NHL playoffs but were out in 6 games …. If they played 7 games they would never make it on time to make the team…. Pasta, Zacha and Necas ( to me the best Czech Player) gave the team a chance to seed the hope of starting the fire , which would transform the entire team into believers that they could win it all…. I am very happy for the guys…. As you know, when you bet a game at times you have to think about efforts…. It’s much easier to bet on a team, win or lose when you know they will give you everything they have….. you know Canada never cared about playing for anything else but the gold ….
