I live in Vegas, went to the book tonight and saw penguins -145 to win the cup. Predators +120 and senators a crazy +1500!... before game 6 started of course.
I saw the series for senators to win was +400 so i put $300 to win $1,200.
Senators are now forcing a game 7.
Regardless of what happens I am slamming the house (3k) on the Predators to win the Stanely Cup (based on my own metrics and countless other things).
I want nothing better than the Senators to win game 7 so I win the series bet and a easier match up. But my question is, when do i make my Predators 3k bet for the best odds?
If Penguins win game 7 they will be around -180 to win the cup and Predators will have a better + than they have now. Do I wait for game 7 to end or bet before ?

you have to HOPE the Penguins WIN game seven vs the Senators for best odds. Pittsburgh opened -320 and got bet down to -250 prior to game one of this series SO they will probably be well north of -200 vs the Predators SO you should get better than 2-1
of course the Senators would be the "easier opponent". probably be about EVEN odds IF they play each other

why would you not take the +1500 over the +400. Makes no sense? Its all about value. +1500 wast a much better bet no way nashville is -300 against sens,

If you really want to take the guesswork out of it since this is gambling and you can never really be sure what is going to happen, you should use the investment principle of dollar-cost averaging. Basically put half on it now at whatever the odds are, and the other half on it after the result of game 7. If Pens win then you will at least have half of your bet on much better odds, and if the Sens win you will still have half your bet on at least decent odds as I believe the Preds will be favoured vs. the Sens even without home ice much like they were vs. the Ducks.
But again this is gambling, and part of the enjoyment of it is to make your plays and see where the chips fall so you should also factor in your read on the series/game 7 and your confidence in which way you think it will go.
FYI, I made my big play on the Preds yesterday at +130 to win the Cup...I know most people here think the Pens will be very heavily favoured in the finals but I personally don't see getting too much better odds on Nashville. Maybe it will rise to +150, but the Pens still have to make it there which is no guarantee at this point. To me that was the right time to pull the trigger so I did.
