Nashville has lost a couple in a row and has a GAUNTLET of a schedule coming up after today's game with the Hawks. They can't waste these 2 points if they want to make the playoffs. They are only "in" the playoffs by a couple points now, so this is a must win for them against a young team who has lost in Nashville a bunch lately. Hawks just won an emotional game at home against SJ to break a long losing streak. Kane and Dibrinkat made a point to say that they needed to send the longtime Hawks play by play announcer out with a win and they did. The factor I like the most is the fact that Nashville HATES the Blackhawks dating back to when the Hawks were consistently winning cups. Chicago fans are rabbid...and can even be obnoxious when the team is good. Guilty here! That was the case for years as the Hawks continued to eliminate Nashville from the playoffs almost every year. Hawks fans would travel to Nashvegas and buy all the tickets to the games. So when the Hawks came to town, it was the Madhouse on Madison (south) and I remember how pissed that used to make the Nashville fans. It seems they haven't forgot that as they have beaten the Hawks 8 out of the last 10 times they have faced each other and 5 times in a row in Nashville dating back to 2021. The fans, probably more so than the players hate the Hawks, but the players need today's game. The combo of a desperate team and an engaged home crowd should be enough to put the Preds over the top. probably by multiple goals. I don't see why the Hawks would get up for this early road game after they just won an important game for themselves last time out. Good luck all.
