The NHL released the Stanley Cup Finals schedule yesterday and two things stood out to me...
The start times and the days of the week. Now I will explain this as simple as possible. If Tampa wins tonight they get home ice advantage in the final against the Knights. If Washington wins, Vegas gets home ice.
All 7 games, if needed, would start at 8pm ET. Here are the two schedules that could occur. I have left dates out and just put the days of the week. Since I believe that is what needs to be focused on here.
Game 1 Monday Vegas/ Tampa
Game 2 Wednesday Vegas/Tampa
Game 3 Saturday Washington/Vegas
Game 4 Monday Washington/Vegas
*Game 5 Thursday Vegas/Tampa
*Game 6 Sunday Washington/Vegas
*Game 7 Wednesday Vegas/Tampa
Ok so what I am saying is the only scenario I can see happening is the Tampa vs Vegas Final based on seeing this.
There is no way they are going to have all those mid week games played in Vegas at 5 pm local time and then not have the two weekend games (Saturday game 3 and if needed, the following Sunday game 6) not played in Vegas.
So my conclusion is Tampa wins game 7 tonight and gets home ice in the Final. Final then starts in Tampa on Monday May 28 and Vegas can juice more money out of the Saturday game 3 and a possible game 6 on the following Sunday.

Yeah it was dumb way to look at it. Thought it would be a “best for business” scenario for Vegas with how the schedule was put out. Regardless, it was dumb, my apologizes. Congrats to the Caps! Hope the final is a good one!
