@I-Got-5-On-It
I believe it's only temporary for their 1st season, and will have a state wide think tank with their fans to find their forever name moving forward.

You are correct. Organization didn't want to rush the design since this was basically an overnight type thing. They will have team name and logo's next year.

On that note did you ever hear the deal Bettman made with the putrid owner of the Arizona Coyotes? This shit for bag got to settle the franchise at a massive profit while retaining the right to be the owner if a franchise is ever award to Arizona again. This guy is awful. There is no reason this POS should ever be allowed to be an owner again. This coming from a former Yotes season ticket holder.

@packersbackers
@GASportsDoc
True that
Probably end up putting it to a state referendum and end up coming up something more lame

It’s too big of a market (4th largest metro area in the country) to not offer an expansion franchise. Once there is an expansion.

@jesron1269
You could say the same about Houston, Tx
One of the largest cities in the US to never have had a hockey team, bar the Aeros back in the day in the WHA when Gordie Howe and his sons used to play for them

I even saw in a youtube video about potential franchise expansions to 36 teams Atlanta was one mentioned
Imagine a new expansion team in Atlanta (again ) and after 6-7 years of struggle they move to Quebec
Atlanta first city to lose three teams to Canadian cities

Except there are TONS and I mean TONS of Midwest, Northeast, Chicago and Canadians have seem to constantly move into the AZ making hockey a pretty big market. I for one am from South Dakota and have hockey in my blood. Again read a little more into what actually happened here. Its all ownership and very little fan base/city/investors.
