Thursday 2-15-24

Last night was a total bust it was bound to happen after going 8-2 the previous two nights. The NHL is a grind. I am not overthinking this going to keep it short and sweet.

I am strongly considering the Detroit red wings in the late game. May add later.

 Good spot for Detroit with Vancouver first game back home from a long road trip.

Tampa another one who's back home from a road trip, but Colorado also on there last game of a 6 game road trip. Kinda like the under in this one with possibly 2 tired teams.

The end of a long road trip does scare be a bit with this Colarado team however they started it off very poor as did Tampa on this past trip. They responded with a few wins and beat a good Boston team. I am hoping the Avalanche can do the same thing. They also had that players only meeting before that win in Washington I am thinking they keep the momentum. The key will be staying out of the Box that Tampa power play is DANGEROUS! 

I have cashed out all the Avalanche tickets I just saw Justus Annunen is starting for Colorado tonight. I can not back a goaltender with no track record vs this Tampa team. 

The Lightning have hosted three teams this season whom they lost to on the road in their only previous meeting this season. They defeated the Stars 4-0, the Blues 6-1, and the Coyotes 6-3. 

The Lightning lost in Colorado 4-1 back on November 27th.

 Yep I am out. This game is puzzling. I will watch and enjoy with no skin in the game. The top 2 point leaders in the NHL should be fun to watch go H2H.

The Canucks are a perfect 5-0 this season in their first home game following a road trip of at least 3 games. But, they had two days off prior to four of those home wins, and on the lone occasion when they had only one day off, their next opponent was the last place Sharks. Tonight, the Canucks will take the ice after having enjoyed only one day off.

I'm on the Red Wings +160.

Lots of firepower in that Col/TB game. I took the over in that game at 5.5 with the Rangers for a two teamer.

3 of those wins followed a loss so that is to your favor.  I love the rest angle but that's about it.  Canucks are pretty good off a loss also.  They had not loss BTB games since November 18 until the Red Wings beat them last Saturday.  I think that may add a little motivation.  Good Luck!

Quick death in Vancouver. No surprise.

I stayed away after that bad beat with the Panthers under 3.5 goals. The wings can score and they still have time to make this a game however.

My teams cannot overcome deficits of more than one goal, so the Red Wings were done midway through the 1st period.
