I know what you all are thinking: Why bet Pens after their last game. Giving away a 4-1 lead. Well, as far as I see it Pens have a lot to prove now. They are pissed and they might as well putt it all on the Isles.
No doubt that the Pens are the better team here, they managed to hold down Caps almost throughout their last game. They are at home in front of their homecrowd who'll expect them to perform.
Isles just won a OT game and used a lot of energy. Even though they won I didn't get any more impressed than before. This team still sucks @ss. Isles B2B against a pissed off Pens team. I'll go with the team on a mission here. Pens -1.5!
Caps will try to extend their winning streak tonight when they'll be facing a Habs team that have a lot of problems beside their injuries. They (Habs) just lost their GM which I would think could caurse a lot of turbulens in the team and coaching staff. And then there is all the injuries. Habs lost their last game at home to the B's but won their last 3 before that. That tells us that it is not a bad team (if anyone should think that).
Caps are trying to tie Pens franchise record of 17 straight wins. Caps will get their 15th straight win tonight is they will continue their play on the ice. They are HOT and last game showed everyone that they REALLY want to beat Pens' record by keep fighting even though they were trailling 1-4. Caps -1.5

I will only comment on your Caps -1.5 pick: Like I said over a week ago, I would just ride the Capitals streak like a bucking bronco until they finally snap it/have it snapped --- funny about streaks like the one Washington is enjoying, HC Boudreau mentioned that when you are winning and finding ways to win hockey games at the NHL level, the puck finds the twine instead of hitting the crossbar, and the puck just tends to keep bouncing your way... The Habs always present a decent challenge for the Caps mind you, but I wouldn't put too much stock in their 2nd string netminder, btw Theodore and Huet(sp?) they have actually climbed the ranks from the bottom 15 teams in GAA to the top 15... plus they get back their young star goalie Varlamov. Point being, they do more than just score goals now, but they need to stay out of the penalty box if they are to win AND cover the 1.5 goals tonight, their penalty killing is their only real weak spot presently, but I expect them to remedy this after the all-star break and into the postseason...
