probably because the Penguins are "Pittsburgh up front, Wilkes-Barre in the rear".

Pennies get Gonchar back in the lineup along with "Mad Max" Talbot but NO Orpik, Goligoski, LeTang and now Jay McKee on defense plus now Dave Molinari the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette long time beat writers says "D-man Mark Eaton,who has back spasms, did not participate in the morning skate and is questionable for tonight's game."

so ex for getting "Sarge" back, which should help the powerplay, it's a bunch of AHL kids playing D for the Penguins tonight.

a better question might be WHY are the Blues such a big fav vs the Coyotes? St Louis has only won one of their last eight games. Phoenix is no great shakes and is B2B but they have better last 5 games stats than the Blues and have beaten them twice already this season.

I honestly think that if the Pens hadnt won the Cup last season everyone would be on Ottawa today (given Pens massive injury problems on defense). Yes they beat the Ducks but Ducks are in major slump, and really just a bad hockey club so far.
