with Howards numbers this season, am suprised they didn't go with the Lighning's Ben Bishop

somewhat suprised the Bruins Tory Krug didn't get selected. brings speed and offense to the blue line esp on the power play

Incredible. What an asset he would be on the big ice surface. There a few names there I would drop for him personally.

COULD still be a "replacement" IF Callahan isn't 100%. IS rather suprising though with the "big ice". another reason I thought Tory Krug might get selected on D

An absolutely stacked lineup. Of course Canada, Russia, Sweden, and the Czechs will be too. Any one of the 5 is a gold medal candidate. Lady Luck will undoubtedly be involved as usual.

seeing a few other names mentioned as "snubs" ... yandle and Okposo in particular

Okposo is a snub too, 2nd in production in USA players, some may argue that he is not suited for the big rink but I dont agree. He has played really well this season and deserved a spot.

yea i saw something along the lines that has more points than stepan and callahan combined so far this season ... Found an article about it... basically a rapid reaction to the team

Im assuming the callahan selection had a lot to do with his leadership abilities. Not saying i agree with the selection,.i just think that may have had a lot to do.with it. I don't think the selection peeps let the "big ice" be a major factor in their decision making

Lightning yakkers listed their "snubs" between the 1st & 2nd period tonight in Vancouver. naturally one was Bishop in goal. others were forwards Bobby Ryan and Kyle Okposo and defensemen Kieth Yandle and Jack Johnson

yeah  but should Tony Krug be on there??...haha jk...but seriously I would have loved to see him, Saad and Okposo...i'm right with you.. and deff deff Ryan...but i guess there is only so many you can fit, and i think they were trying to mix leadership with young skill players....and players that have been consistent for a few years, mixed with new talent....and i get that...Theres always going to be a debate on players left out, but i do feel thats a strong team...prob 3rd outta top 5 roster wise...any of top 4 teams can win i believe

I don't think Parise is a sure fire thing to be 100% healthy in time for the games.  And if he's not, I doubt he goes.

What about Big Buff........Maybe he is to big and fat but he has a cannon for a shot.

Isn't he considered better than Faulk?

I think they could've done better with the selection for the defensemen.. Yandle is good asset.. and I dont disagree with Bobby Ryan not making the team.. Team USA have ton of scorer and very good PK units Backs Callahan and Kesler

but notherless Team USA look solid.. BIG HITTERS and good defensive defencemen
