Utah-Detroit Matchup

Anyone care to share a thought or two as to why Utah is 1 -135 favorite in Detroit tonight? The visitors come have three fewer points than the Red Wings. 

I think it's because Detroit got swept by Columbus and then lost to Carolina in a close game.  I believe it should be a coinflip at worst and maybe even shaded slightly to the Red Wings.

The Wings do get Rasmussen back tonight so that should help as well as Carter Mazur playing in his first NHL game.  He should provide some juice/jump to the lineup that has been missing.  Also, I think Lyon is the better goalie for them and he should be in net tonight.

I took the Red Wings due to the above but wouldn't be surprised if they lose another close game.  

Go luck with whatever you decide but I am fine riding with the hometown MoTown Wings and think the line is slightly off myself!!! 

Take Detroit in regulation line perhaps.  Great line if you like Detroit.

It just goes to show us that the oddsmakers are lightyears ahead of us (the bettors), when they knew enough to list the visitors (Utah) as a -135 favorite.

How many placed a wager on the hometown Red Wings, as an underdog, against Utah in this one. 

Detroit is probably a fade or nothing for the rest of the season.  I seriously doubt that they make the playoffs with all of the teams in the mix.  The shiny from the new coach has worn off and they will fall back to their early season form. 

Their offense is now non-existent so unders might be an option as well if Lyon is in net.

The Wings are only a point out of the wild card spot, so I don't think they're exactly a fade for the remainder of the season. The fact that Utah was a -135 favorite in Detroit last night was a red flag, which indicated to me that the home team was not going to fare well in that particular game.
