In most situations, this game goes to the Flyers-considering the injuries, fatigue, and home ice, this looks like a simple play.

Flyers are going to lose this game with their 2^nd, and 3^rd lines.  The Flyers have Gagne, Powe, and Betts down with injuries, and had Ross as the replacement; Ross went down with a concussion in Fridays game.  The Flyers called up Kalinski for tonight’s game.  The Flyers are running on nothing but determination at this point.  They are playing their 5^th game in 8 days tonight, going coast to coast (their only home game in that stretch was during Turkey day, and being gone that long, I doubt there was much rest for the players with families), and tonight’s game is the 6^th road games of the last 7 played.  You are getting a home team with plus odds, which is rarely a bad play in the NHL.  The Thrashers need to feed their crowd a home win-they won only 4 times at home this season, and not in the last 2 weeks.  Atlanta is very healthy, with only Lehtonen down to injury (back up goalie).  No word on who is minding the net for Atlanta, but it really does not matter too much; both Hedberg & Pavelec are playing great with 92 save percentage, and 2.7 to 2.84 GAA.

Flyers are banged up up front,..NOt in the back. There defense will play solid tonight...

Danny is back and rested. He will log tons of ice tonight , With JVR .

whats up Air?  I hear your argument, and can see your point.  I think this game is won by atlanta due even more to the fatigue of the 2nd and 3rd lines, but the injuries are creating physically of players who are probably not quite as condiitoned as the original first liners... we will see... NYR defense, and lundquivst (the guy is playing back in the goal as opposed to challenging...no confidence) and pk killed me yesterday, and I won't trust them until I see it where it should be

Looks like I get the bragging rights on this one Air; Thrashers played badly at home (as always), but the Flyers looked like they were just exausted, as I anticipated.
