Had a great opening day thanks to a last minute "chase" play. I had my three safe plays locked in and I convinced myself I was just going to roll slow for the first day.
Then after it was obvious the Habs game was over for me I got a tweet about the Oilers over. I felt the pace of the first two games and was very impressed! I figured the Oilers were due for a fast pace and high scoring game. Pounded it for $150 (posted on my yesterday's thread). I absolutely should not have done that.
Chasing and moving out of character is never profitable long term.....but it sure paid off last night so I will take it! I just wanted a win so bad last night I was willing to break discipline to get it. Getting that first winning day in any sport is so important:)
Momentum is mine now and I intend to build on it.
Nothing locking in for tomorrow but here are some thoughts/leans
Phi - although Tor won they didn't look that great and I think they will be wiped out by tomorrow night. Plus going into the home opener in PHI....I think they are happy/lucky going 1-1.
I kind of like the over in this game too. I think it ends 5-2 for Phi.
Also like the Det game......no real reason here. Det at home, first game against the sabers?? Seems like a legit play to me??
I have about 200 threads/tweet/websites to go through before any of these are locked in so who knows. Any insight are very very welcome!
All year in the MLB forum I posted with units. It worked good but at the end of the day I want to post $. At the time there were some very good reasons for me to post units instead of dollars but those reasons no longer exist. That said I am going to post dollars moving forward. My standard unit bet is only $50.....I know that's low but whatever. It is what it is. I bet usually between $50 and $150 a game. Some day I hope to get my standard unit play up to $100 but that is a work in progress.
Keeping track in $ is just so much easier. Also I don't keep track of wins/losses. I could but I just don't care. I can't pay the mortgage with a win/loss record.
Thanks for all the great posts everyone. Looking forward to making some serious cash with you all.

New to hockey (other than just watching it) and this forum myself this year. Hoping to ease into the water and cash a little to pad up for basketball. I'm with you on PHI and that over. Grabbed the Wings PL so hopefully that will go well.
Best of luck to you tonight and on the year.
