What's up with the NHL schedule..

U have a team like the San Jose Sharks who played their last game on 1/31 and next game is 02/14

Because hockey takes a back seat to everything in America so their schedule gets pushed around everything. 

The NHL has the worst scheduling ever.

They'll play 14 games one night and the next day they'll only play 2.

Horrible scheduling for sports bettors. 

Kraken GM Ron Francis was on the radio in Seattle the other day and ripped the scheduling.  The nhl and the CBA have strict practice protocols during the stretch also.  You can’t practice until 2 days before your first game after the break.  So you got teams who already have their legs back before playing teams who have barely had a chance to practice yet.  Then he mentioned the lack of practice and having to jump straight into games led to Andre Burkovsky tearing his groin 30 seconds into first game out of the break last year.  The whole thing is dumb.  

On a side note, is there a gambling advantage of pounding teams who’ve played games out of the break vs teams who have not?  

So far we had Vegas vs Arizona last night as a slight road fav win 3-2 with a game in hand out of break and scored 3 quick goals in the first period.

Looked down and saw a handful of others.  Doesn’t seem to be a significant trend.  But I always hear people talk about getting “the legs back” off all star break.

 The all star break gave some teams way too much time off, two weeks is just insane and very unfair.

The Kings don't play their 1st game after the all-start break until tomorrow .  Their last game was on the 31st of January.  The scheduling the week up to the all-star game was light with 3 games or less a night.  I don't ever remember it being this bad.
