The funniest part is Mike Murphy&#x27;s comment...Rome was suspended because of a interference (late hit) and the injuries Horton sustained.Basically makes himself look like a hypocrite&#xD;&#xA;That is identical to the Chara incident.

&#xD;&#xA;A fish smells from the head up.........NHL top brass are far too inconsistant&#xD;&#xA;Whether someone is a repeat offender (Rome) or a first time offender (Chara) should have no bearing in a verdict on game suspensions.&#xD;&#xA;I have never been arrested but if I go out and rob a bank or kill someone, I don&#x27;t think the judge will be more lenient on me because I have never done this before. Read almost every decision handed down by Murphy and Campbelll clowns, they weigh far too much on a players past actions

Chara&#x27;s was a check, although ill timed check as opposed to an open ice head shot.  Chara&#x27;s was as much a wrong place wrong time instead of intent.&#xD;&#xA;Although intent can be discussed forever in that case.

They wait to see how bad the injury is before they dish out justice.

[/Quote]Chara&#x27;s hit was ill timed. that&#x27;s all. in that case they didnt judge the hit based on the injury dealt. i was sure them bringing this up with the rome hit would come to bite them in the ass. i also believe the history of offences has to be taken into consideration. it would be ridiculous not to. to the remark of criminals and first time bank robbers/murderers... the difference is huge. off the top of my head i would compare the nhl situation to perhaps a sample pool of bank robbers. all of which are criminals, and take a look at the severity of their crimes. in and out, "clean" robbery, all the bank staff alive, to the ones that constantly inflict pain and massacre whole banks of people.get what im saying?sorry to go off on that, but the comparison that you brought up was just off.cheers, and i hope Horton recovers, we know what concusssions do to Boston players..

Yes it was ill timed but so was Stevens on Lindros or Lindros on Stevens a few times for that matter.  Hey even Cam Neely was very unlucky with Ulf Samuelson a few times.  Kind of the unfortunate nature of the game with all those split second plays and big strong toucf guys flying around as fas as cars. I mean you will never really fully remove concussions, I got one playing my 5th game in 6 days and It was just a fun scrimmage. Went screaming towards the net and drove my own face into this 250 dtackle looking guy.  Knocked him over with my 165 pound body taking it all on the jaw.  There was a couple of older US college guys there that were just laughing at me telling not fall asleep tonight.

Although, I disagree the hits are similar, Char's hit being more of a continuation check as opposed to an open ice cheap shot, I thought Chara should have received 2 games at least. If it was a clean hit, why did he receive a penalty? A player seriously hurt while in the midst of a penalized play should equal a suspension.So, I can understand why you guys are pissed.

For the record: I'd rather play the Canadians 20 games in a row rather than these bitches from Vancouver with their sense of entitlement. I was curious why more Montreal fans weren't pulling for the Nucks. I think I know why? Montreal and the Canadians appear to me to be more blue collar and when backed into a corner pushed/fought back. Vancouver and the Nucks remind me of a bunch of rich kids with a lack of toughness and a sense of entitlement whom when backed into a corner never learned how to push/fight back since they have had everything handed to them. Hence, the biting and cowardly actions. After watching these Nancy's from Vancouver for 3 games I have much more respect for Montreal as a whole. Montreal > Vancouver

If it&#x27;s that simple why was Burrows not suspended for biting another player in game 1? Instead he was left in the series to win game 2 for Vancouver. A suspension for that gnawing incident would not have been questioned by anyone and in fact from hearing NHL players talk about it since then, it was very much expected.

Boston Ken&#xD;&#xA;No clue what you said. Not trying to be rude.&#xD;&#xA;Montreal fan base is quite mixed. I assure you that we do not have a larger percentage of Blue Collar workers/fan than Boston.&#xD;&#xA;We do have some ignorant fans but that goes for every city.&#xD;&#xA;The only reason Montrealers are not rooting for your Bruins is of long standing rivalry and quite frankly, Chara might/could have ruined the career of one our top ranked, up and coming players.&#xD;&#xA;I was at the game when Chara retaliated agaist Paciroretty and have seen the play 10&#x2B; times on you tube. Chara wanted to push Pach in to the glass....he is just so big and strong he almost literally killed the guy. (one or two vertibrae away).&#xD;&#xA;The way Boston fans feel about Vancouver&#x27;s aggressive play, Montreal fans feel about the Bruins. &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;With all this said, Montreal is second to none when it comes to being able to walk down the street and not get mugged, stabbed or killed.
