Wol had a better gaa and save % than samsonov. He’s the lesser experienced but better goaltender of the two.

 21-13-1 GAA 2.76 SV%.912 and I’m not just going by the fact his numbers are better than sami, he has better fundamentals than the inconsistent samsonov, I flat out feel he’s the better goalie. Again with that said I don’t know if either guy can save them tonight, but obviously we know who the leafs feel gives them the better chance, hence his start in a must win. 

woll is 0/2/1 and 3.97 GAA , 0.865 save % vs boston in reg season 

and 0 GA vs boston in playoff game 3 in 17 min TOI/G

woll was dope, he’s taken the role. Samsonov will be gone in the off season. Change had to happen. Don’t be a jackass and say woll should have started the playoffs. Not a single person in Toronto thought that and nothing suggested otherwise at the time……

 What are talking about, so many people wanted Woll to start game 1, I was one and he is the best goalie the leafs have, I've said since last season. Sammy is another Anderson let's in a ton of softies.
