It looks like a great value play on the dog considering they are 3-0 and Belgium is 1-2 but I am taking the Cats from Belgium based on a few things.
the first is the fact they have all world forward Emma Meeseman a former WNBA finals champion and MVP (as a bench player!), who has played and won lots of women's titles in various European leagues. I think her veteran presence will help them get over the quarterfinals hump which both teams failed at last Olympics in close games.

I also see some serious holes in this 3-0 Spanish team. I think the Cats had to play a much tougher group with the USA, Germany and Japan the team that ousted them at the last games.
Germany beat the Belgians pretty bad and then they had to play the juggernaut US team and got beat badly again. But - they kept it closer than any other team the US played losing by 13, whereas Germany lost by 19 and Japan by 30ish.
In their revenge game vs Japan Belgium thrashed them, so they got their swagger back.
Spain won two games by a single point, China in OT in a game they were heavily out rebounded in and China had 25 turnovers. Vs Puerto Rico they blew a 14 pt halftime lead and only scored 5 points in the 3rd quarter before eking out another 1 pt game.
5 points is quite a drought, and part of the reason that can happen is if you can't hit 3s, and Spain can't. They're the worst 3 point team in the Olympics. 4 for 25, 6-20, 6-24 is their 3 point stats in 3 games.
Belgium isn't great at 3s either but you don't want the truly absymal team. I base a lot of capping in bball on the 3 pt shots. I told anyone who would listen that the Boston Celtics were favorites for the NBA championship for good reason and that reason was they had the most 3 point makes of any team.
Of course, this strategy doesn't always work. I thought Canada yesterday would use that advantage but it didn't happen. But that was due to 1 - the hometown cooking calls for France they got to the line constantly and Dillon Brooks is such a friggin clown he was 0 for everything. But, look at the game before, Australia could have won, they choked a big lead away and it was all because of 3s falling for them that they build that lead but they couldn't stave off the Joker.
Speaking of Serbia, that's the only team Spain Women beat by more than a point and they just got crushed by the Aussie women so that 8 point victory isn't looking so great either.
Spain's women 3 x 3 team had a lead late vs Germany and choked. Different players, but it's worth noting the trend. Their center/forward is really good but much younger than Meeseman and I think the wily veteran makes her presence felt and make a push to collect some kind of Olympic medal to add to her already massive trophy cabinet (seriously have a look at her Wikipedia page and all the stuff she's won.)

Of course Spain come out and hit 5 3s in just the 1st quarter. I have a great knack for stuff like that happening. I back a team's ace pitcher and he has his worst game of the season, team that has only hit max 6 3s in a game hits almost that in the first. So annoying. But Belgium's offense is keeping pace, hopefully Spain reverts back to form and their long range shooting drops off a bit
7 point lead with a minute to go in the first and they can't keep it with Spain hitting a 3 at the buzzer.
4 fouls on Belgium and zero on Spain. What is with these refs they're doing this all the time favoring one team by a lot

That 2nd quarter is more like what I expected. For all that, I actually hate when teams are up double digits at halftime they usually suck then in the 3rd quarter. I swear the last few years the majority of my losses in every sport are teams up big that blow the lead. Especially in basketball the teams just always take their foot off the gas and in both football and basketball the refs always seem to try and help the losing team stay in the game. It makes it really hard to cash tickets with favorites. It's worse for games that are shown on TV.
But, I'll be surprised if this Belgian team folds up and doesn't at least give Meeseman a chance at a medal by getting to the semifinal. If they didn't give up 7 points in the last minute of the first they would be way ahead. I didn't expect Spain to suddenly be able to hit 3s. They only got 2 in the 2nd but still have hit more in one half than in any other game. Luckily Belgium is shooting well too.

that is more generally the regression to the means - I love the + odds live usually. A humans brain doesn’t want to go against the stream and grab a falling knife…generally in stocks this is a sound idea LOL.
nice win, I took Spain 1H, lost, win on 3Q, up for the morning overall so can’t complain much…..
thoughts on Morocco/egypt?

@vaas187 Morocco vs Egypt? No, because they're not playing in the basketball tournament. I don't know what sport or game you're referring to. I'll have picks on the basketball games later.
Olympic soccer. No biggie.
good luck today
