Well here we come to the final game of the season, for our betting
purposes it has been successful with a hot first half of the season but
reached a plateau most of the second half not being able to make much
more ground. I think we should be able to finish the season off in
style tomorrow. Good luck, selection and comments below.
Geelong -15.5
Geelong has been the best side all year, conceding only the one loss
and finishing with the highest points for and least against two years
running. Hawthorn possibly have been the most improved side and it has
been clear for most of the season that they are the only serious threat
to Geelong going back to back premierships. The meeting in round 17
saw Geelong win by 11 points, Hawthorn rued some missed shots on goal
and poor kicks late in the game but that aside Geelong still had an
extra 6 scoring shots and they also missed a few chances. Geelong were
not at full strength, missing Ablett, Milburn, Ling as well as Chapman
for most of the game after injuring his hamstring in the second qtr...
they all are "All Australian" players. I believe if Geelong play near
their best Hawthorn will not come close, Geelong won the grand final
last year by a new record of 119 points so going on that you would
assume they will no no nerves preventing them from bringing their
"A-game". On the big stage on the last Saturday in September, the
superior and more experienced Geelong team will win and cover the 15.5
points being asked of them here... Geelong to win by about 30 points.
