Geelong -58.5 Last time these sides met we had a record line of -75.5 or so set and we wisely passed as Geelong ended up wining by 30 points. This will be different, Geelong has since stepped up a few gears and is ready for finals. In the wide open spaces of the MCG this will again be a display of men v boys as was the cast last week against Richmond. Ablett back will help the Cats but they don't need it, they have seen off the biggest challengers against the Bulldogs and Hawthorn in recent weeks. Geelong will win by 10 goals with out a problem this time around, they are beating better teams by more so no reason they wont take care of business against Melbourne.
Additional selections for the rest of the weekend's games to come.

Miracle, I think the weather will be ok. It briefly rained heavily last night but has been clear all day today and drainage at the G is first rate. It's cloudy now but I think it will hold off, even if there is rain Geelong have some superb wet weather players such as Bartel and the return of Gary Ablett. They'll be fine.
Good luck, HoH.
Final selections:
St.Kilda Saints -8.5 Collingwood is gone, done and dusted. Only three weeks ago they were in contention for a top 4 finish but now after three consecutive losses inclusing two they were expected to win (V Essendon and V Kangaroos). They have shown nothing of late, do not deserve to even make the finals and they probably wont. Rocca has been out for several weeks, further depleted now with club imposed suspensions of Didak & Shaw due to their drinking incident during the week and injury to O'bree. Collingwood's lack of form and loss of experience up against a reasonably settled St.Kilda team should see them fail to be competitive enough to cover the line here, take the Saints minus the points.
Kangaroos +8.5 Rodney Eade has mentioned that they may rest some of their stars this week indicates that they may not be playing with as much desperation to win, now that their position in the top 3 is all sewn up. No official outs yet but they have an extended interchange bench and I'll expect one or two outs when the final teams are named. Kangaroos playing with all the desperation in the world and continue to be competitive no matter how much anyone writes them off. I think they will get up to win this one, they are only missing out on 4th spot by percentage, yet they are only a game and a half from missing the top 8. Clearly, this is a much more important game to the Kangaroos and I think they'll be giving their all to win this match, they have won the past 4 meetings V Bulldogs and certainly can extend that to 5 this weekend.
Essendon -14.5 Plenty of books actually offering -13.5 but I'll grade as -14.5 as that is about the middle of offerings out there. This will be brief, West Coast are terrible, undermanned and their season is over. Essendon playing very competitive football and will be too good especially with the inclusion of Scott Lucas, they also still have slim hopes of making the finals intact but must keep on winning.
Good luck.

Yeah, you'll often be able to find better lines than the ones I post. I believe in sharing commonly available lines that most people can get, not the best possible line that I can find. Sharing thoughts and selections that people can get in on as well :)

yeah noticed that, doesn't mean a lot IMO. Last week the line moved in favour of the Pies against Hawks hours before the game and we all know what happened there...

Listened to the first half. Wasn't able to post last night but I thought they might win it................... just did not expect them to score 7 unanswered goals in the first quarter Dees
