Two superior teams playing against lowly opposition, both sides will want to win and win well for percentage. Geelong not on top where they belong due to close win against Hawthorn and Collingwood coming off a disappointing loss to Adelaide last week. It did rain heavily yesterday but the drainage at MCG and Kardinia Park is first rate and not expected to really rain today.

Sure is Rod. Looked outside just befrore. It won't rain. I'm with Gmanea here. They will flog both their opponents. Although I'm concerned about that Collingwood one as Melbourne always play well against them, but Collingwood are battling top 4 this year and Melbourne the spoon so you know that Collingwood should thrash them in good conditions. Plus Shaw is back too. Adds much needed run to their defence.

Reasonably clear, it bucketed down more yesterday than I've seen in a long time (we need it) but most of that has moved far east now and there is only a chance of a scattered shower or two but I don't think it will be too much of an issue today. Down at Skilled stadium they had a huge upgrade to drainage system a few years ago and it's quite good now, MCG top notch. Geelong one of the best wet weather teams anyhow so even if it was wet and slipper I think they'd handle it fine.
