If teams play to their recent form I still think Geelong are decent chance to cover. However, I think Geelong may turn it up here. Big crowd and also I think will be keen to put Collingwood in their place after the close final last year.

Yes it was amazing how poorly Geelong played. Collingwood were alot better than I expected but it was more terrible decision making and execution by Geelong. Be interesting to see if they get back on track or not.

Seems to be alot of money for Fremantle. They have a strong record against Carlton and have decent losing form against the best teams. Carlton's record at the TD is very poor also.
However:
- WB, Geelong, Adelaide in the second half all played poorly versus Freo for large parts of the match, rather than freo playing particularly well. when they wanted too they were able to smash the dockers.
- Hayden is a big out for dockers as he provides run from defence, they are short on run and pace whereas Carlton has plenty of decent mid fielders.
- Carlton well rested, freo on six day break
- Carlton are alot stronger than in recent years for mine
- will freo get over another close loss
Think this is a close call and there is some value in 1-39 @$2.65.

Against you with this one but you bring up some very good and valid points. Just letting you know Thornton is a late withdrawal for the blues, IMO leaving them a little exposed in the backline.
