A rough Round 6, my least confident plays hit and my most confident did not even get close.
Fremantle are deplorable, let's get that straight. At 0-4 at home, under the pump and needing a big win, I like leaders like Fyfe, Hill, Pav, Neale to step up and put their foot on the throat of their opponents so to say. Even in the second quarter when Freo got on a bit of a roll I was hopeful of the cover, but when Fyfe went down that was about it. Now with Fyfe out for 10 weeks, Fremantle are going to be in all sorts.
I didn't like what I saw from the Demons in a few of their games this season, sure they were great against North and GWS but that loss to the Bombers was screaming inconsistency. I was hoping the Tigers would get the jump on them in this one but Melbourne were quite impressive. Props to those who were on the Dees as I know a few of you were.
Nevertheless it's a long season so let's kick off Round 6. Leaning the following and will officially make some plays soon:
North Melbourne ML vs Western Bulldogs @ 1.77
ML holds enough value here. Both teams play Etihad Stadium incredibly well, so no real home/stadium advantage. My angle comes from the fact that Suckling is now out on top of Murphy and Johannissen. That's pretty much their top 3 "setup" running backs all missing. Add to this that Easton Wood likes to play that sweeping, covering role which I don't think he will have the pleasure of this week as he has to much to worry about with Waite, Brown and Petrie. That 3-headed monster with Higgins, Boomer Harvey and Thomas at their feet will be too dangerous I think.
Hawthorn Hawks vs GWS Giants Total Points OVER 183.5
Generally like day games at Spotless Stadium. Good conditions and two teams that like to play at an open pace. Last game between these two at Spotless Stadium the total hit 206. I'll take my chances here.
Essendon Bombers +18.5 vs Carlton Blues
Bombers coming off a horrible and humiliating loss on Anzac Day and Blues coming off a high beating Freo in Perth. Don't think the Blues have "turned a corner" like everyone is going on about and think Bombers can keep this close, if not squeek out a cheeky win like they did against Melbourne.
Best of Luck on your plays this week Gents and as always, take care.

It really could go either way, just think the bulldogs game revolves too heavily around that setup and run from halfback. In their place you have people like Biggs and there's talk of Liberatore playing off halfback. Think North are on a real high and don't want to let this momentum slide.
Also looking at Adelaide v Freo Total OVER. Games at AAMI are just a shootout and I think Crows will pack on the points. Gotta hope Freo can manage 65-75
Cats at the line against the Suns. Huge line especially playing away from home but Suns are super depleted with injury. Will look into this further

Too friggin right. I want them to be bad but no so bad they get priority picks. I hate their coach with a passion. The slow disgusting footy he plays. Now Freo fans can suffer because you have this coach till 2020 and it will take that long to unravel the game plan and get the retirements and new blood in.

I have to say I am confused by the line and total. Why is North only -3. I'm not buying it North wins and in my opinion by more than 3 goals.

You talking about Freo? If so, coaches can always get bought out, right? How does their current list look in an offensive scheme? I don't know these things, but am guessing it's not a material factor. I can't stand Longmire as well, though he doesn't make me want to stick an ice pick in my eye like the Freo coach does.
