My A-League betting has been far from fruitful so far this season, but I have a good feeling about a couple of the games this round - starting tonight.
The biggest rivalry in A-League football continues in Gosford when the Jets look to improve on their already impressive record over the Mariners. While neither camp has got too much to be excited about so far this season, they do enter this game under quite different circumstances. The Mariners are cominig off a loss to the Phoenix that McKinna dubbed 'shocking', while the Jets are backing up from their best performance of the season sar far.
Jets new recruit Mark Milligan will likely slip straight into the starting squad, and personally I think his signature is a good acquisition for the Jets. They have also signed former coach Ian Crook as High Performance Manager for the next 3 years, a sign that they are already looking towards the ACL. Joel Griffiths returns and will certainly start and things are all of a sudden looking pretty rosy for Newcastle even with a quartet of players to miss due to their selection in the Young Socceroos side.
So, just when i thought things couldn't get much better for my boys, I see the books have pegged them as $3.20 dogs. Are you kidding me? The CCM have beaten Newcastle 3 times in 15 match-ups since the inception of the competition. 3 times. Now they are favoured to beat them for the 4th time ever without key defenders Clark and Boogaard? I'll take my chances here.
Newcastle ml @ $3.20 (1)
Newcastle (+0.5) @ $1.65 (3)
Newcastle 2-0 @ $15 (0.4)
Newcastle 3-0 @ $41 (0.4)
Let's turn this around

I have to agree, A league has been all over the place this season. I wonder if you would be up units if you backed the underdog with the draw no bet option this season??????
