The guy would be a walk up start in any international cricket team. He should be in Australia's 20/20 and one day side and he would have been the perfect replacement for Clarke or the replacement for Hussey/North for a few tests.
If he were playing these Ashes, he would score well over 400 runs IMO.

Yes, I know it was hard to break into the test team, but the guy has serious talent. He should have been in there instead of North for example.
He's averaging 55 in test cricket, scored 1 century and 2 half centuries in six tests. He was brought in for a test match, scored 203, then made way for a player returning from injury. He should have been first off the rank for anymore replacements.
Even the ODI and 20/20 side really wasn't that hard to break into.
Anyone with half a brain would select him in their national side in one of the forms of the games.
At least he's making money in the IPL, but really, he should be representing his country.
