interesting......line is only 16.5 points yet still over $2.70 for a Geelong win. Seems like there is no money coming in on the Cats for the win but the public reckon it's gonna be a close finish due to the conditions so the line of +16.5 is getting hammered. Pies have been excellent this year so you'd be a brave man to tip against them, that's for sure and 17 points is nothing for Collingwood, doesn't matter who they play.
Gonna wait till around 6pm before posting my play because you can bet there will be a couple of player changes before the bounce that may have an impact on the final result

The only changes that might occur are from the emergencies unless either or both teams want to cope heavy fines from the AFL.
You are right about those numbers being odd. You are talking 3 goals or 1 goal 12 behinds if Mooney is kicking......... anyway what will also be interesting is to see the O/U when it is released and watching the line movement to see which gives first the points or the win.

Is it me or is the total of 166.5 too low? Both teams have been pretty active in the scoring dept the last few weeks and both teams concede a bit
Usually when top teams play each other it turns into a defensive tussle. The magpies in for this week Tarrant and Maxwell (assuming they take the field) might indicate that. The other thing though is the weather. The radar on BOM is is full of blue. Lots of showers around the greater Melbourne region.

the total definitely seems to be begging for over action as many will do. Like the NBA this game will be no different to the Heat v Celtics totals where both teams have the best defense in the AFL so you'd reckon there will be alot of stoppages and rushed behinds all game.
Mooney is not playing and as a Cats supporter am a little unhappy they went with Ling and also Josh Hunt in the back because both those boys always get into trouble when in space but I guess the weather will bring them into the game more so that usual. Lingy has been terrific this year so leadership will be needed. Mooney out is fair because he's on his last leg and will likely play very little part in this team for 2011. I am gonna go with the Cats +15.5 tonight which is paying $1.80 and will likely win the game tonight. It's not a big call at all either as Collingwood will be without Jolly (top 5 ruckman), Maxwell and Tarrant is certainly a huge risk and will likely not play. Geelong & Collingwood both have the best midfield in the AFL and the best defense which is where the game will be won. Those outs will put pressure on O'Brien and Shaw in particular and although Magpies have forward options in Krakouer, Didak, Cloke, Dawes and Blair I just feel Chappy, Stokes, Varcoe, Pods, Stevie J and the new star Menzel will step it up after last year's heavy defeat. It's worth noting too that Geelong were very unfit heading into that preliminary last year which hardly get's talked about but Johnson could not even pick up a ball due to the hip surgery and Mooney was always a liability playing him after his ankle and leg injury.
Gonna be a rippa game but I reckon we are probably gonna the two same teams will play off in the grand final and Collingwood will either win this game by 13 points or the Cats will get up by 4 goals.
