Wollongong got two back door covers against Melbourne and Adelaide without looking like winning either game, by playing hard until the end. Their squad seems to be much much weaker than last year and look like they need to rely on effort and hustle rather than talent to a large degree. Their choice of Tragargh or Larry Davidson at starting centre gives some indication of their talent pool.
Brisbane squeeze in 3 games in China between round 1 and 2. They arrived back in Sydney Tuesday night. I think with three days to rest this should not be too big a problem several players were rested over games 2 and 3, plus I think they should be fairly energised after winning a game against the Chinese national team in front of a big crowd:

Brisbane have lost two key players in Bradtke and Black from last season. However, Bradshaw looks a more than capable replacement for Bradtke and there is plenty of talent to share Black's minutes.
Brisbane were all conquering last season and looked impressive in the second half of their first game. I can't see a second rate Wollongong team troubling them.
