Sixers release Winder
The Adelaide 36ers released the following to media on Saturday afternoon:
"Despite beating Townsville last night by 13 points, 36ers coaches and management have agreed to release import Craig Winder from the team.
"Winder was recruited to the 36ers on the back of a solid NBA D-League career to be the floor leader for the 36ers this season.
"Winder brought great athletic prowess, an outstanding work ethic and was a tremendous team mate in his time with the club.
"The 36ers have short listed a group of point guards to run the team for the remainder of the season. The necessary due dilligence on each candidate will be carried out to ensure the best available person is chosen.
"The 36ers next face the league leading Wollongong Hawks on Friday night. Any new player is unlikely to be avilable for this game at this time."
