I'll be interested to see how the reduction in game time affects scoring. One of the reasons, imo, that "unders" were so prevalent in the NBL in the past couple of seasons were flat spots in games where both teams would seemingly 'check out' for a few minutes.
The change to 40 mins is such a nuance for these guys that it might just trigger a bit more intensity overall with teams emphasising the fact they can't afford to nod off when time is shorter.

The Cairns Convention Centre is like the bermuda triangle for points scoring in this league, ie offense goes completely missing in that gym.
