Game is being played in Auckland as the Magic's venue is unavailable. Could be wrong, but I think this is about 500k travel for the Magic and 1750k for the Steel.
Given the neutralish court I think 4.5 is too many.
Finals pressure and neutral venue have me thinking under, although both sides have the potential to score quickly.

I know the old saying about writing off supposed champions, but I reckon the Swifts are fcuked. Watching sunday's final, I thought the tbirds really exposed them in almost every department and there was absolutely nothing NSW could do to find easy consistent passages to their shooters or to keep Borego under wraps.
Not sure if the Swifts can recover mentally from that ruthless pounding they copped. I mean they were completely and utterly dismantled, and playing in Adelaide (assuming they get past the Magic this weekend) is going to be even tougher.
One other thing about this sport too is mental / emotional fragility of the players. Unlike other teams / players in other sports I think netballers find it hard to rebound hard once their confidence has taken a severe hit.
Don't know where the Tbirds have been hiding the sort of form they showed on sunday, but if they go close to repeating it in the GF I can't see them losing.

as well as flushing 3 units on the game I have plenty of futures bets between $6.50 and $10 on swifts that I had already cashed.
i think they will rebound an be competitive assuming cox is good to go. you are right about confidence can disappear but i am not sure one game will be enough.

If only these NZ teams could get it together over here this COULD be a real contest. I reckon the Swifts are there for the taking. Confidence will have taken a real hit after last sunday and we've all seen how quickly things can unravel for these netball teams once their self belief is dented.
But whether the magic can get over their own mental brick wall (playing in Aust) remains to be seen.
