THE ASHES First Test

The bowlers are the key here. Weather wise Hilfenhaus & Siddle should go alright but neither are match winners. All depends on JOHNSON and DOHERTY . If Johnson bowls like he did 2 years ago against South Africa taking 33 wickets in 6 Tests or up to his average of his HOME track THE GABBA where he has taken 17 wickets @ 16.17 in 3 Tests then Australia will be on top and win. BUT if he has lost his hurry & worry & bounce then I fear it'll be back to blaming Mummy for bowling crap as in the 2009 series. Alot riding on Johnson.
Doherty....ummmmm who knows. If he isn't up to it then England will feast on him. Australia play from behind and maybe hang in for the draw.

Broad for England is in the same position as Johnson. Perform like he did in 2009 and England play from in front but will need assistance from Anderson  and Swann ( the weirdo ). Steven Fitt may surprise a few but think he is in same position as Doherty.

I think there will be some huge ( and many ) momentum swings in this test. Weather is gunna produce some swing and that may just suit the Poms a little better early on. But their top order aint the best so I will be hoping for Hilfenhaus and Siddle to get them early and put them on the back foot. Then Johnson mans up and cleans up!!!

Yes I do love a wager or 2. Have set limit for each Test. Had to put on all early as very busy weekend with 2 grandsons parties and helping a relative move blah blah blah.

AB - Grandad of 2 at 42 . I know why grandchildren are always so full of energy. They suck it out of their grandparents.
