Darren Bravo has marked his authority on test cricket. The 21 year old nephew to the great Brian Lara has put Sarwan and the other number 3's since Lara in the Windies lineup to shame.
In his first test, he hit 58 supporting Gayle. He did not bat in the second innings. Sarwan and others would have failed.
In his second test, he hit 80 in his first innings. Came in when Gayle and Barath got out very early on. Showed maturity beyond his years to keep his crease and top score for the Windies showing he's more reliable than Chanderpaul and co.
In that same test in the second innings, Barath and Gayle went early on a day five pitch and he batted sensibly with 0* off 20 balls before rain halted play and caused it to be a draw. Any other player would have crumbled.
In the third and last test, he has shown his maturity yet again. He is currently sitting 44* guiding the Windies after Gayle got a golden quacker.
His first class record is 19 matches with 3 centuries, 4 50's, averaging 39 with a high score of 111.
This guy is the next big thing in test cricket. Watch out for his name in the future. He has a bright one. Darren Bravo.

In fact, there are a few good Windies players coming through the ranks.
Yannick Cariah is an allrounder leg spinner. Andre Creary is a promising allrounder.
Kraigg Braithwaite will be bigger than Gayle and Barath combined as an opener.
18 years of age, 9 first class matches, 1 century, 2 half centuries, 504 runs at an average of 36
Jason Holder will be vital for Roach with the new ball when he makes his test debut. He mustn't be far off.
First Class 2 matches, 2 wickets for 57 - average of 28 List A: 8 wickets for 171 average of 21 T20: 4 wickets for 74, average of 18.
These young guys still have a long way to go, but hopefully in two years when Braithwaite and Holder come on with one of those spinners, WI will field a side like this (assuming Chanderpaul has retired)
(Ages in brackets)
1. Kraigg Braithwaite (20) 2. Adrian Barath (23) 3. Darren Bravo (23) 4. Ramnaresh Sarwan (32) 5. Chris Gayle (33) 6. Dwayne Bravo (29) 7. Denesh Ramdin (27) 8. Andre Creary/Yannick Carriah (22) (20) 9. Nelon Pascal (25) 10. Jason Holder (20) 11. Kemar Roach (24)
That may be a powerhouse.
Although, imagine if Taylor and Edwards were fully fit. A Windies bowling attack of Roach, Taylor and Edwards would be lightning.

A strong WI is great for International Cricket. I hope you are right Bolar.

Brian Lara and Bravo's mother are first cousins[4] meaning Bravo and Brian Lara are first cousins once removed. Darren Bravo is also the younger half brother of Dwayne Bravo.
Bravo's grandfather and Lara's mother were brother and sister.
So not nephew, but first cousin. Regardless, there are bloodlines in there and him and Dwayne must share the same father.

Actually that's not right.
