In all honesty, it is an embarresment, Oz et over 300, and the Windies are 4 for 40??????It has happened in almost every game.....Is the difference that much?

Chris Gayle has been wandering around Australia aimlessly for the past 3 months, bottle of rum under one arm, dick under the other, looking more and more like a fucking idiot by the day.

Remember, Windies have no depth.

Dowlin is rubbish who was only found because of the players strike.
Deonarine is rubbish
Rampaul is rubbish

As I said time and time again, Barath, Sarwan, Chanderpaul, Bravo, Taylor, Edwards, Benn - all solid one day players are not here, playing. If they were, it would be a different story. That is 7 players right there who would be wakup starts.

They should have blooded Braithwaite and Darren Bravo.

Gayle, Barath, Sarwan, Bravo, Chanderpaul, Pollard, Ramdin, Benn, Taylor, Edwards, Roach

That team would have won a few.

To be fair Windies are missing about 5 of their top line players. Sarwan, Chanders, Bravo, Edwards & Benn are ones that come to mind

They persisted with rubbish like Deonarine, Dowlin and Rampaul.

Teenager Braithwaite will surpass Gayle as an opening batsman in a few years time, blood him. Darren Bravo will be a regular fixture in the team in the future, blood him. They were better options than Deonarine and Dowlin who suck.

Rampaul is just rubbish and they refuse to try out other fast bowlers.

Simmonds is a test batsman, not a one day batsman but he showed his talent tonight.

They had rubbish playing for them. You really can't expect them to do anything more with rubbish.

The only competitive sport we have in Oz in NRL.....everything else is rubbish....

Barath is a limited overs batsman.
Sarwan is a limited overs batsman and not a test batsman
Bravo is a limited overs batsman and not a test batsman.

Chanderpaul is the only one in that team that sucks at one dayers.

And you're totally understimating the potent attack that could be Edwards, Taylor and Roach. If those three guys get fully fit and play in the one team, Windies will be a force.

This squad that played for the Windies the last 2 weeks was a c grade squad with only three members being of a grade standard - gayle, pollard and ramdin.

Possibly but they wouldn't have been losing matches by over 100 runs.

This whole Aussie summer highlights the need for a 2 tiered competition with some kind of relegation system in place. The gap between the top 3 teams and the bottom teams is simply too great

Pollard is the only one out of those 3 that has played real well.

Ramdin's glove work has been solid, but he hasn't added much with that bat.

What has Gayle done? If he seriously wants to help his team win, why not move himself down the order a bit? He is not a captain's arsehole either.

Agree completely. It's compounded when they send two rubbish squads out here in the one summer.

Everyone is bemoaning the lack of crowd support in the ODI's, well I wonder why?

If India, the Saffers or England had of been out here, they would have got 30,000 to the SGC easy.

What are they doing at grass-roots or domestic level Bolar? I know nothing about the WI domestic set-up so I can't comment. I know it is nothing like we have here of course. But the lack of depth is alarming. I appreciate what you are saying re the injuries to the top squad, but if this is the next tier than they are in dire trouble.

I honestly think you could pick 5 Australian sides at least that would have smashed the team the Windies fielded.

Look at the whole international summer and what has been the closest game, ie, the game that came down to the coupl of balls? Yes the 20 / 20 game at the MCG between Aus and Paki....What no one understands, is that these 2 teams, Paki and WI dont give a rats arse about Tests or 50 overs, they DONT CARE......Only Aus, Eng, SA and Ind care about these other games........

Remember when Gayle says that he wouldnt lose sleep if no one played tests again??? From the captain.............

They have younger players, but they refused to expose them to international level.

Hinds, Deonarine and Dowlin are shithouse and are not the future of the squad.

But, 18 year old Kraigg Braithwaite and 21 or 22 year old Darren Bravo should have been blooded. Braithwaite has been killing them at under 19 level. He is one of the best under 19 players in the world. Time he is blooded.

They have the young players coming up, they just aren't using them. They are relying on older guys. And Benn is a shithouse spinner, but they won't give others a go.

The selectors are shit when it comes to selecting the team.

As I say, the future Windies test team reads:

6. Chris Gayle/Shivnarine Chanderpaul (whenever chanderpaul retires)

They now need to bite the bullet and say we have had players like Sarwan, Gayle etc around for years who are inconsistent and we are not winning. Time to change the team a bit.

Now assume Chanderpaul retires in 2 years and they go in with the above team.

Barath, Braithwaite, Roach will be under 22 years of age.
Ramdin, Pollard, Bravo, Bravo will be under 26 years of age

That's the future - it's time they do something and blood these younger players.

In regards to Ramdin, he is still 24 but has played test cricket for the last 5 years.

A lot of people are calling for Ramdin's head but he's still a pup. Batsman don't hit their peak until they are in their late 20's. He has a few years yet to hit his peak. If he was 28 and 29 and he was like this with the bat, then I would worry
