Interesting that Pinny has Anand the favourite to win this double RR tournament.
Al but Grischuk competed in the Melody Amber but this is NOT a real tourney as it's blindfold and rapid so in terms of serious chess, meaningless.
Last month Kramnik won Dortmund scoring 5/7 with 3W 4D 0L. Anand and Leko scored 4/7 with 1W, 6D 0L each. Gelfand 0W 5D 2L.
Anand won the Moralia-Linares in Feb with a score of 8.5/14. He swept the golden boy Carlsen 2-0 , 1.5-0.5 Morozevich, 0.5-1.5 Aronian.
Aronian won Wijk aan Zee very impressively in Jan with Anand finishing 5th, Kramnik 4th, Svidler 6th.
For the Elista candidates, I had Kamsky beating Bacrot and Bareev beating Polgar but didn't play my flier, Rublevsky who also won. Aronian and Leko played very solid chess in the second round matches and this definitely bodes well for the WCC.
I think this tournament comes down to Kramnik and Aronian with Anand third.
