What the hell is this game ?

I'm watching it on Ten One. I found this but I still don't get it. is it a winter league type game or a competitor to the NBL ?

and why does it say it is live, ie, why is being played middle of the day on tuesday ?

Just a mini competition i think, winning team gets 250,000 at the end. Teams get a period in which a 3 pointer will = to 4 points.

Also heard One HD will be showing 2 NBL games per week plus selected Boomers and Opals matches from next season.

xcrap that is great news about One HD. I'm glad the NBL is going to get that right.

Seriously topugh watching it today on TV the stands were empty. I had not heard of it. I wonder who is bankrolling it and what purpose does it serve, commonwealth / olympic games selection

I watched a bit of both games todays and yes seriously there were 10 people in the crowd and they were probably family. Is this competition some front for international money laundering or something ?

Wow they even have a website https://www.highstakeshoops.com/ and even with the website I can't work out the rules.

Have a look at the owner rights..... I don't know if that means they invested money or something..... anyhow AFL's Buddy Love has owner rights on one of the teams.

This reaks of crickets IPL and may explain why the NBL has nothing on this competion.

The marketing is much better today... there's one big family there of about 7 people... so they only need three more people to match yesterday.

You know it is bad when you can hear each individual clap.

There were more people at the 1yo birthday party I went to on Monday night.

seriously though, what terrible timing to hold this inaugural event - middle of the day on weekdays just five weeks after the NBL has finished.
