I don't see how the Fire keep this game close to the Flyers. Yes the Fire got a nice win against the Spirit last weekend but the Spirit has lost the plot after a decent start to the season but the Flyers just keep on winning. They do have the Capitals on Sunday which might be a look ahead spot but I believe Chambers will get her girls focused for this game because there aren't many games in a WNBL season. They are rested and ready to play. Thinking they come out and go bezerk and then ease off maybe 2H but they have the talent to not allow a back door cover in this game.

Cheers Buckleys. Took them awhile to get going but they got there in the end. Too much talent compared to the Fire.
That Phoenix vs 36ers game was nuts. The scoring in the NBL is just insane. They put up almost the same amount of shots as the middle range NBA team which is around 82-85 shots per game yet they are only playing 40 mins compared to 48. Phoenix had around 35 free throw attempts, the NBA guys don't usually get that many in 48 mins. Just insane tempo and I think the books will start giving out 200 point totals soon because that game tonight was hovering around 198.5 and cleared 220.

Kings @ Melbourne should be an absolute classic game, then we have Perth hosting the Bullets. Bullets are 1-13 S/U in their last 14 road games if you eliminate the Hawks from that. They haven't won on the road since beating Adelaide last season on 12 January 2019 (excluding 2 road wins against Hawks). That is just mind blowing. Tough ask for them against an inform Cats team.

Two very good games tonight in the NBL.

No play on the first game. My thoughts are torn. On one hand you have Melbourne wanting revenge and also a good team at home, but then you have the kings who are coming off 2 straight loses and some rest. Line is short, total is quite high. I don't just want to pluck a play out of anywhere or the sake of it.
Back later for the Perth game.

It's an exception. I did like the stat they were drilling at the end which was no team has lost with a score of about 107 and I think the games where that came about were the United v Kings games. Should be an interesting game first up because neither team is in the same form as their last meetings. Total is up to 192 and I would be playing the under if I was on this game.
Cats should dominate. Form team, better team, home team... but the Bullets have Patterson. It's not nearly enough.

Anything around the 170's to low 180's I will take the over.
Brisbane Bullets @ Perth Wildcats: Over 177 (Sportsbet)
First meeting this season the Bullets won 87-78 in Brisbane. Don't know how that happened, can't say I remember watching that game but for the Bullets to keep the Wildcats under 80 in any game is remarkable. Different story on the road, Welcome to the Jungle. Perth coming off a nice win vs Cairns on Thursday night, quick 5 hour flight home yesterday (hopefully not with Jetstar or they will be stuck in Cairns still).. Previous game the Cats only took 65 shots, which is very slow for this league but it was also in the first month of the league. Scoring has ramped up since that game and if the Cats don't score 95 in this game and the Bullets make up the rest, I will be very surprised. Think the Bullets might catch the Cats off guard initially as the Bullets have had some time to prepare for this game whilst the Cats are coming off that Friday night game but then I do think the Cats will get the win. I missed the -6.5 opening line and its now up -9 which is kind of where I think it should be.

Hope you played that under Buckleys. Came might close but the under would have cashed. Nice hit back by the Kings, never looked in doubt from the get go really after they took an early lead. Melbourne still have problems which I don't think they can fix in order to win the title. They can win games on their talent but their chemistry is off compared to the Kings and Cats.

I think the Cats will do their part. I'm not sure about the Bullets. If you have a look at their game on Monday, it was all Patterson. He was great but no one else was doing anything. There was no team chemistry. It was one guy having a great game. The Cats feast on that. Kay, Hunt and their other bigs will be all over him.
It's currently 37 degrees (at 5pm) in Perth according to the BOM. Not that they play outside but it messes with preparation. Lots of people going from the cricket to the game... I can't see a good game for Brissy. You think the Cats get 95 and then Bullets 82... which I think will be close.
GL mate. Lets see the Cats score 100 and we'll both be happy.

I was hanging around to see what you would post.

That game just never got going last night unfortunately. Bullets were pretty poor in stretches but so were the Cats. Travel may have played a part in that low scoring game. The spread was right on, opened at -6.5 and closed at some book -9 and the Cats win by 8.
Moving on.
Melbourne Boomers @ Perth Lynx: Boomers -5
Think the Andy Stewart experiment in Perth should be over but the Wildcats organisation love him so I think that has kept him in his position. They are plummeting badly right now and not the best time to face an in-form Melbourne side. This game was close last weekend but that was because the Boomers were coming off a game from the night before, yet the Boomers were still able to cover that game vs Perth as well thanks to a big 4Q and the Lynx collapsed yet again.

The last meeting I lost by the hook, game hit 162 and I had 162.5. Flyers were coming back from that awful schedule they had and were just flat, only scoring 72 and allowed 91. Capitals have the offense to run wild but I think the Flyers put up a fight. Sitting at 11-1 and they are getting +5.5 is a little mind blowing, but the Capitals are on a crazy win streak at home so I guess I understand why they are -5.5 for this game even against a solid team like the Flyers. But, if they are to lose one, wouldn't be surprised to see the Flyers win this game and if they win, they would need to rely on their offense. They have a decent bench as well and some great players to grab 2nd chance points,

Cairns Taipans @ South East Melbourne Phoenix: Over 188.5
Phoenix only know how to play one way, fast quick tempo and I think the Taipans will love their game plan. Taipans brought back to earth the other day vs the Wildcats but the Cats play a lot slower than Phoenix. Phoenix giving up ridiculous amount of points and Taipans have been impressive in the last 2-3 weeks. Think they follow and we see a shoot out.

The two best WNBL teams with some of the best players in Womens basketball couldn't hit anything for almost 15 mins during the 2nd and 3rd quarter.
The Boomers up 8 at HT, come out flat and score 9 points in a quarter and they have WNBA players as well as Aussie internationals.
Mr Roberson saved me a little with a freaky final 30 seconds in reg time to hit two clutch 3's to take the game to OT and then the Phoenix went on to win. He scored 21 points in 6 mins. Insane.
