They dont play D, Melbourne coming off yet another under game, the Boxing day game here in Oz is something special as they take the roof off the arena and play in the open air. Great thing to see if you get a chance to watch it.

Adelaide 36ers @ Melbourne United: Over 178.5
Like I have said before, I will take any over game in an Adelaide fixture if the total is below 180 points. The Fire plays the Capitals again, this time in Canberra. No news yet on Batkovic, will wait patiently to hear her status.
The other game is Rangers @ Perth and the Rangers are free falling right now after hitting some fine form 3 weeks ago. They scored 100+ points in 2 straight games and now in the last 3, they are struggling to hit 70. Doesn't make much sense as nothing has changed with their roster or coaching staff. Perth sitting in 3rd, need to keep winning if they want a home playoff game, and they are being chased down by Adelaide. This will be an interesting game with the Lynx just 1-3 in their last 4 and 0-4 ATS and only just getting past Sydney last week. The line is at -6.5 which is a little strange, but I do like Perth in this spot. Perth were laying -15.5 last week so that to me means the books do rate them highly, they just had a bad night last weekend after a 3 game road trip. They have been at home now, enjoyed some rest and relax and family time over Xmas and now I think they can really put a big streak together to finish the season strong. Their USA imports have been great this season as well so I am laying the chalk in this match-up

Ok so no NBL tonight but we have 2 WNBL games.
The Fire plays the Capitals again, this time in Canberra. No news yet on Batkovic, will wait patiently to hear her status.

Just so you guys know, its going to be 40 degrees today. That has nothing to do with the Arena but will people be willing to travel to the arena in this kind of heat? Its summer time here in Oz and they should really re-think these afternoon games and move them to night time around 7.30 so its a little cooler for families to come out and watch the league.

Yes that's right, Townsville are now done and I don't think Batkovic will play another games for them. She is retiring this season as well so it might be over for her. The top 4 is almost already sealed, with just Bendigo and Dandenong small chances of making the playoffs. Bendigo's game today vs Melbourne is huge.

Sydney should have some motivation to get a win in front of their home crowd on Sunday especially with how bad the Fire have been playing. I am thinking that the line will be around -2 Fire so the ML on Sydney wouldn't be that much.

Perth have been awful on the road this season against decent teams, don't see that changing against the Lightning who are flying and their starting 5 is really dialled in right now. This top 4 has so many different finishes when it comes to seeding and I think Adelaide can take a step closer to trying to get to 2nd seed.

Expect the Kings to bounce back after that loss to Melbourne before Xmas. Brisbane are coming off a nice home win as a small dog against Perth. Brisbane also beat Melbourne 90-74 a few weeks back in Melbourne. Think its a great spot to back the Kings on a low line and I don't expect the Bullets to hang around. Bullets overall record is good this season, but I think this is a bad spot to back them against the Kings off a loss.

I don't know what it is but when it comes to this time of year, you have to back the Breakers to fire up and go on a little run to push for the playoffs. They have the players to do that, they just need to put a good performance together against the 36ers today which I believe they will do.

Nice win by Adelaide. They mean business this season and Lucas is a good coach. Perth once again wont win the finals because they just cant get the wins on the road and have been terrible come playoff time on the road in recent seasons. Andy Stewart just can't get his team motivated for the road games for some reason.
Adelaide have great value at $13 with one of my books. Capitals are my fav to win the whole thing now they have their squad together and everyone apart from Wallace is fit and healthy.

If the Capitals want top spot, they need to win and the best way to do that I believe is to play a team which you pumped by 20+ points less than 2 weeks ago. Rangers coming back from Perth on Friday night, got the 1 days rest and now play the hottest team in the league who had a easy night on Friday night vs the Fire.
