***NBL & WNBL Week #7

Question

YTD: 18-14Don&#x27;t know what to say about that Cairns/Perth game last weekend. Perth had 3 missing starters, Cairns took a nice 7 point lead with about 5 mins to play and then somehow, they manage to blow that lead and then down 4, with a few seconds left Trimble hits a 3 and Cotton fouls him on the shot and Trimble hits the free throw and sends the game to OT. Then Cairns blow it in OT and the rest was history. Just one of those bets/games which wasn&#x27;t going to go my way but we move on and look forward to a new week. Wouldn&#x27;t want to face Melbourne on zero rest, so they need full energy the night before against a winnable opponent in Dandenong. Dandenong looking like a team which will finish bottom 3. Illawarra Hawks get 2 nice home games after a very tough start to the league with plenty of road games. They need to play some catch up and at home they can do it. Back before the first game starts this weekend.BOL everyone.

Illawarra Hawks @ Brisbane Bullets: Over 179.5

Last meeting went under with a total hovering around 173.5. Bulletd different team at home compared to road. Hawks desperate for a win as well and I think we see a max effort from them, just can’t take them on the road..

Nice win last night with the Bullets once again being a great team at home. They just need to get their road performances better and they could be a threat.

Perth Wildcats @ NZ Breakers: Breakers -1.5

Perth coming off 2 nice road wins against the bottom teams in Hawks and Taipans. NZ had this game in their hands last time they played until they came out flat in the 4Q and somehow scored only 9 points. Different scenario this time around with the Wildcats buggered and still missing players, I think its a good time for NZ to bounce back after 2 straight defeats.

Waiting on injury news for the WNBL game tonight.
Kia Nurse is the USA Import for the Canberra Capitals and took a nasty hit last weekend. Reports suggest she is going to do a fitness test before game time. If she is out, that leaves a massive hole for the Capitals which I don't think they can adjust too.

Hey buddy, as much pain as they caused me last weekend, I would have to take the points as the 36ers are just 1-4 in their last 5 and that concerns me with them laying so many points. Taipans are a disaster right now and are hungry for a win. Just a big risk taking the Taipans. I might just leave this game.

Cairns Taipans @ Adelaide 36ers: Over 184.5

Total has increased since the last meeting just a few weeks ago. That game went under and if Adelaide can score 90 on the road vs Taipans, they should be able to get 100 and Taipans to get over 85 in this game.

That NZ/Perth game was a little ridiculous. Perth had 40 free throw attempts in reg time compared to 14 for NZ. The refs were calling everything on NZ and they were unlucky not to win that game because I felt that they were the better team, just not getting the calls at all.

Nice win in the 2nd game, with Adelaide/Cairns decided to play zero defense.

Kings vs Melbourne today, I have no read on this game at all. The Kings let me down last time they played Melbourne with a pathetic performance. Just one of those teams you cant trust.

The WNBL has 3 action packed games which all look really good today. Back later.

Adelaide Lightning @ Dandenong Rangers: Lightning -3

Adelaide faces Melbourne tomorrow, Melbourne coming off that loss last night, I wouldn't want to be Adelaide. They need to at least split this weekend 1-1 and they punished Dandenong not that long ago. I think Adelaide has far too many scoring options and experience to drop this game against the Rangers.

One more for tonightPerth Lynx @ Sydney Uni Flames: Over 150.5Last total was set at 156.5, game only hit 140 points. Perth off a loss need a big game here tonight and the Flames are actually looking at the club&#x27;s worse losing streak in their history. I think we see a good effort tonight from Sydney offensively and the quickest team in the league will follow them.

Seems that I am talking to myself, by anyways, I will continue to do that if I have to. Just like getting my thoughts written down..

First game, Hawks hosting Adelaide. Total is a massive 191.5 which is the highest total of the season but I do understand because 36ers just run and gun and the Hawks will follow IMHO. But, all it will take is one bad 1-2 minute period during a quarter to really screw the over.

2nd game, NZ @ Perth. Explained before, massive 9 hour flight + they played OT the other night as well. Both teams must be drained and exhausted. You would say the under is the option here but I am not sure of that.

WNBL game is Melbourne vs Adelaide, Adelaide horrible yesterday, Melbourne off a loss. Tough game.

Thanks Jurisairam,Hopefully today we can make some profitsAdelaide Lightning @ Melbourne Boomers: Over 150.5Melbourne coming off a low scoring loss, Adelaide also a low scoring loss. Adelaide on B2B but they love to push the pace, Melbourne should follow IMHO. Melbourne shooting 51% on 2&#x27;s this season, which they did the other night vs Canberra but still only managed 70 points. They got just 3 free throws the entire game which is crazy low. They did take 76 shots in total that night. Adelaide took 70 shots last night as well and only scored 60 points as they shot just 32% from the floor. I expect better shooting and I think Melbourne will score plenty tonight as well.
