*** WNBL & NBL Week #9

YTD: 25-18

NBL is back this week after a short little international break. Big news is, there will be a new side in the league next year. Not a fan of the name, but it will be South East Melbourne Phoenix. Bit strange but they have signed one of the best Aussie talents going around, Mitch Creek. He is doing really well in the G League over in the States right now.

So we have a long weekend of Aussie ball, starting tomorrow night. Putting thoughts to paper so to speak.

Lets start things off for the week

Adelaide Lightning @ Sydney Uni Flames: Under 156.5

Both teams got valuable wins last weekend, both played those games to the over. Adelaide playing their 3rd game in 6 nights with travel from Melbourne then to Adelaide and now up to Sydney. Travel and games in short periods don't suit these girls as they aren't used to it. Sydney on the other hand shot well last game and got the win they needed which I think they regress and go back into their usual self. Total is too high for me not to take the under as I think this game ends up in the low 140's.

I have no idea why teams foul when they are down by more than 7 points with around 30 seconds to go. Do they think they are going to do a Tracey McGrady?

That's interesting Kriscar that you don't see much of that in the Euro Leagues. NBA and NBL there is too much of it.

Waiting on news of Cotton before making any plays on tonight's NBL game.

Cotton is out tonight. No play for me.

 Adelaide Lightning @ Townsville Fire: Fire -2.5

I have to take the Fire in this game as the Lightning are now playing their 4th game in a week with big travel as well. Fire at home haven't been their best this season but I think they play their best basketball tonight to get back into the top 4 as Adelaide have now snuck in. Fire cannot rely on their road form as that hasn't been good either.

Batkovic being out really killed the Fire. Wish I knew she was out before making the play. 

Wont be touching the game which is about to start now, NZ vs Kings. Kings not trustworthy at all and neither are NZ

Taipans @ Wildcats: Wildcats -9.5

Cotton is back. GL taipans

Will take 2-1 all day long. Rangers blew the heads off Lynx in the WNBL and that Under was toast early on.
