1st AAF player to sign with the NFL...

ESPN is reporting that the Kansas City Chiefs are signing former Orlando Apollos cornerback Keith Reasner,,,making him the first player from the defunct AAF league to sign with the NFL..

Reaser will earn $100,000 guaranteed.

The 27-year-old finished with 12 tackles and three interceptions in eight games with the Apollos. Pro Football Focus rated him as the best cornerback in the league.

Kansas City had just released him in September 2018.

 Adam Schefter at ESPN is reporting, the Carolina Panthers have signed former AAF wide receiver Rashad Ross, who had been playing for the Arizona Hotshots.

The 29-year-old Ross was one of the most productive wideouts in the AAF through eight weeks. He had piled up the second-most receiving yards (583) and the most receiving touchdowns (7)..

According to Pro Football Focus, he also had the league’s highest receiving grade.

Denver Broncos are landing AAF interception king De’Vante Bausby (6-2, 190 lbs.) accordingr to NFL Draft Diamonds.  He led the AAF in interceptions for San Antonio Commanders.

Bausby led the league with 4 interceptions prior the AAF’s shutdown on Tuesday.

Another Orlando Apollos gets picked up..

The Cleveland Browns will sign the AAF's leading passer Garrett Garrett Gilbert to the team..Gilbert,who played with the Orlando Apollos,completed 60.6% of his passes with 13 TD's  and just 3 Int's...........

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune has reported that the Bears will host kickers Younghoe Koo (Atlanta Legends)and Nick Rose (San Antonio Commanders)  for a try out on Wednesday.

Rose made all 14 field goal attempts, including a pair of field goals from beyond 50 yards.

While Koo connected on all 14 field goal attempts with a long of 38 yards.

The Dolphins are signing pass rusher Jayrone Elliott, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports. He led the AAF in sacks with 7.5 in eight games with the San Antonio Commanders.

Elliott reportedly drew interest from the Raiders, Cardinals and Ravens before joining Miami.

The Dolphins finished 2018 with a 7-9 record and missed the playoffs. They ranked 29th in sacks, recording 31 on the year.

Monday, the Eagles signed quarterback Luis Perez to a one-year contract, per NFL Insider Adam Caplan. Perez spent the AAF’s season with the Birmingham Iron.

Perez didn't have the best QB stats in the AAF, completing 52.3 % of his passes for 1,460 yards, five touchdowns and six interceptions for a 60.0 passer rating...

AAF Players with Work outs:

Running back Jhurrell Pressley to workout for two unnamed teams,

Quarterback Brandon Silvers to workout for Jets and Vikings, 

Quarterback John Wolford to workout for the Vikings..


There is no QB I have ever seen ,,that was better than Brandon Silvers in that last drive against the Birmingham Iron in regulation  and that includes Tom Brady ...every pass was perfectly timed and in the right spot..

In the game he was 24/35 for 266 yards  and a 109.9 QBR..but it was that last 4 quarter drive that really impressed me it was perfect ..and Silvers also completed a two point conversion after the TD..to tie the game and go into OT..

The LARams have signed QB John Wolford who played with the Arizona Hotshots..

35 AAF players have signed with the NFL so far ...of course the NFL teams have 90 man roosters now and trim back to 53 before the start of the season..

The Washington Redskins have added another former AAF player, this time at linebacker with DeMarquis Gates.

He played for the Memphis Express and tallied 72 tackles over eight games.

The Bears announced they have signed free agent kicker Elliott Fry (Orlando Apollos.) to a three-year contract.

Fry went 14-for-14 on field goals while playing for the AAF.

He kicked collegiately at South Carolina making 161 0f 162 field goals in his four years there...missing only one time ..

More than 40 former AAF players have been signed by NFL..  That’s allowed because it was in the original agreement when the AAF was getting started.

Until the player contracts are voided,The Canadian Football League   clubs will not be allowed to sign players who have a current contract with the AAF.

However there are on going talks going on between the CFL and the AAF.

The 49ers signed offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill, who most recently played for the San Diego Fleet

Brunskill (6-foot-5, 260 pounds)

He started eight games with the Fleet as an offensive tackle.

Brunskill becomes the second former member of San Diego's AAF franchise to sign with the 49ers. The club last week signed defensive lineman Damontre Moore to a one-year deal. Moore recorded seven sacks for the Fleet during their eight-game season.
