4 Teams can clinch Playoffs in Week 13

NEW YORK – The Chicago Rush (8-3), Colorado Crush (8-4), Georgia Force (9-2) and San Jose SaberCats (8-3) can join the Dallas Desperados (10-1) by clinching playoff berths this weekend as the Mitsubishi Motors Drive to ArenaBowl XXI New Orleans gains momentum. The Dallas Desperados (10-1) became the first team to earn a playoff spot this season and with a win at Columbus on Saturday, can clinch the Mitsubishi Motors Eastern Division championship and earn a first-round playoff bye. Chicago, Colorado and San Jose will all try to clinch playoff spots on the road as the teams travel to Arizona (3-9), Grand Rapids (3-8) and Nashville (5-7), respectively. Georgia hosts the streaking Tampa Bay Storm (5-6) on Saturday, May 26. All four teams that can clinch playoff berths this week have competed in a recent ArenaBowl with San Jose taking the ArenaBowl XVIII title, Colorado ArenaBowl XIX and Chicago ArenaBowl XX. Georgia lost to Colorado, 51-48, as Crush K Clay Rush connected on a 20-yard field goal as time expired in ArenaBowl XIX.
