Baby Bonds

Has anyone heard of this yet?  I pulled this from msn.com.  This week a proposed bill was introduced that would instruct the federal government to give anyone born in the U.S. after 2005 a $1,000 "seed savings account," and then make contributions to that account until they are 18 – a plan sponsors say is aimed at closing America’s "racial wealth gap."

The bill would transfer billions of dollars in wealth from high-income families to low-income families, as it would fund the program by significantly increasing estate tax revenues.  Just think about the poor people who have never done anything worth a shit in their life and now wants a slice of Successful people money or successful trust fund grandkids money.  Thats what this bill is aimed at.  It's easy to try to think how this goes down unless you are the top earner so here's a breakdown.

In 2022 the first $12 million on an estate was free from taxation and amounts above that exemption faced a tax of 40%.

In 2009, no taxes were paid on the value of estates up to $3.5 million and amounts above that level were taxed as much as 45%.  This is their goal.

Let's go back to the racial wealth gap part.

Has anyone in the last 30 years in America compared the % of Race in all athletes in pro sports, then combine their salaries or "net worth" and tell me there is any merit to this next statement.

Has this woman ever watched an NBA game, or an NFL game?  Some NBA bench players make 50 MILLION.  You know why, they are not lazy!!  THEY TRIED and THRIVED!

I fall below the high threshold of middle income for my clan.  A pension if its there and whatever 401k throws our way.  The only thing that prevents thriving in this country is laziness.  Laziness knows all cultures, it isn't racist, and it doesn't segregate.  

I want some of LeBron's thriving.  I've lived in poverty in Ohio before, I should qualify.  Every kid gets a trophy, every kid gets 50k at 18 years old now.

An even better idea:

How about the people who worked during the pandemic and didn’t qualify for the free money.  The stimulus plus the normal unemployment plus 600 per month.  Essentially $7200 for the year for the non worker.  So lets pay the poor slug who delivers your packages and groceries.  All the below poverty level people who didn't collect the free stay at home money at a discount.

Lets say 5 grand

that might make all people of all skin colors a little more at ease with this free money allocation bullshit

it was $600 per week added not per month……eventually lowered to a still disgraceful $300 per week to tell everyone to stay home, 26 weeks later (52 if applied and approved for an unemployment extension) and miraculously unemployment numbers dropped by record amounts when people no longer got paid to stay home
