Sucks , Enjoyed talking football with Lancer...Think his Steelers are full of value this season after some important upgrades at key positions ( OL/SECONDARY/WR/LB)
When Messiah Trump lost that 2016 election many of his followers lost their marbles l ( especially online)
...Thoughts and prayers for Brother Lancer

And even upgraded at QB (no matter who) over an aged Big Ben.

He's been such a shell the past two seasons. Big Big is like the anti-TB12 method.

Good way to look at it. But he realized it enough to be very efficient with the ball late. Also, was able to get rid of it very quickly. His experience will be missed.
But you are correct — not what he once was.

Yeah, he was so "efficient" that you can't even call it efficiency. He knew he couldn't drive it anywhere so he always dumped it off quick, usually to a check down. A wily vet like that can rack up a high completion percentage all day and limit interceptions but the ball doesn't go anywhere.

@StumpTownStu
Ole Ben definitely was checking down and dumping that ball off to the RB and TE who racked up 134 receptions on 173 targets ..Usually in the flats or within 5-6 yards of the line of scrimmage.

Yes. But he had very decent 2nd half numbers, for example. And it wasn’t as much him dumping it off as some others last year. I think we had this discussion before. But he got them back into a lot of games late and that is where the experience showed last year. It helps that his O line actually blocked better than folks gave them credit for, etc.
But I think anyone they go with this year will have a better year than he did.

Yes, I am sure that Trubisky and Rudolph are so much better and more experienced than Ben, a lock Hall of Famer. I would rather have Ben in a playoff game than either of these 2 players.
On a side note, I really like Najee Harris to have a great year. He could win the rushing title!

Absolutely. That was my point about his experience showing late in games. But it was taking him too long to get it together. But I think Trubisky will be an upgrade overall from Ben — last year, not for his career.
As, I mentioned elsewhere, Steelers are one of the teams, like New Orleans, that will be very interesting how they fare after losing an all-time great.

Trubisky is the perfect fit for Canada's offense IMO ...His mobility will add another dimension to the Steelers offense....Lots weapons to work with ..
Used to really piss me off watching the Bears ( Nagy) try to turn Trubisky into a pocket statue passer
