@shawdow warrior - hibbert was not vertical.  his arms were extended at a forward angle and made contact with lebrons arms before their bodies touched.... 98 times out of 100 that will be called a foul on the defense, as any avid nba watcher will tells you.  verticality applies to movement in your vertical plane... hibbert had his arms out beyond his vertical plane

watch where lebrons knee goes. If he's the best player in the league then he is fully aware of what he is doing. If someone kneed you in the balls you'd expect the same call

Earlier in the game, Hibbert was out of control and barreled into Anthony.   Called a defensive foul.

Yeah because this call completely changed the outcome of the game hahahaha.  It was one call big deal.  Lebron would have missed a free throw anyway.  I agree it wasn&#x27;t an offensively foul but wasn&#x27;t a defensive foul either.  Should have been a play on.   He didn&#x27;t make the shot regardless.  Pacers completely controlled the second half.  This play didn&#x27;t matter.

The Pacers may have still won, but the play ended any chance of a Miami comeback.  Instead of potentially getting it down to 7, the lead ballooned to 11 thanks to the technical fouls.  The call seemingly ended the game.

A lot of if&#x27;s in that scenario.  You can say that about 10 calls per game.  Lebron&#x27;s own fault for the tech.  He should know he can&#x27;t run to the other side of court screaming about calls regardless of the call on the floor.

Momentum???? Heat had no momentum and never had a chance at that game. And being in restricted area means absolutely nothing. Lebron lead with knee and elbow. Could it have been called other way? Absolutely but tht call had no effect of game

The most important thing was that hibberts arms were NOT vertical.  They were extended forward and made contact with lebrons arms BEFORE their bodies contacted each other.  It was a defensive foul.&#xD;&#xA;For all you f*ckin tools out there who don&#x27;t understand the bio-mechanics of jumping off of one foot while running: its only natural to bring your knee up.  If you as a shot blocker want to challenge a guy going for a lay-up head on, you have to expect his knee to be up, because that is how you make a lay-up!&#xD;&#xA;Unreal how fuckin stupid people are on this sight when it comes to anti-bron bias. &#xD;&#xA;Youtube Paul Peirce dunking over chris bosh in 2010 (while with raptors).  Bosh got visciously kneed in the groin as Pierce charged to the rim.  Bosh was as vertical as hibbert was last night and got hit much harder.  There was no offensive foul on pierce.

everyones talking about being vertical. i have seen like im sure all of you have during the regular season whether the player is jumping hands raised straight up or standing straight up, if they were in the restricted area the refs 95% would call block and announcers always called blocking and always say, "he might have been there before but he is in the restricted area, so its a blocking foul". even if the back heel was in the restricted area they would say it was a blocking foul. but yesterday it wasnt? it was a block that wasnt called.

right on.there was a play a few minutes before this where lebron went in for a layup and got fouled hard on the body by hibbert with no call, but lebron made the layup anyway.  then the play in question was another blatant foul which went AGAINST lebron, which is why we see him act uncharacteristically running all the way down the floor. if indiana wins this series it will be a real travesty. i have no stake in the outcome, other than that i can see clearly who the better team is. and if it wasn&#x27;t for the officiating, this series would already be over. and i hate to admit that. it&#x27;s crazy that the nba can get away with this over and over and over. even mainstream reporters talk about how inconsistent and overall just how bad the officiating is on talk radio. it&#x27;s like, it&#x27;s something everyone can see but it still goes on. it&#x27;s a shame, and makes me like the nba a lot less.
