I am so sure this ticket cashes that I will donate what's left of my 2013 NHL bankroll to the victims of Hurricane Haiyan should CBJ somehow, someway in some bizarre fluke happenstance pull off the upset tonight. I shall also retire from participating on Covers forum as my knowledge & insight will forever remain tarnished.
Important facts that you should know:
- Columbus' best scorer Gaborik is injured and will not play
- Columbus' highly prized FA addition Nathan Horton is injured and won't play
- Columbus' leading points scorer is a defenseman not a forward
- 16 players have a negative +/- rating, 7 have a plus rating although 2 of the 7 have played 5 games or less i.e benchwarmers
- The team's leading goal scorer only has 6 goals. In comparison top goal scorer for St.Louis Alexander Steen has 17g
- Columbus is 1-35 on the power play in the last 11 meetings vs. Canucks
- CBJ's goalie Bobrovsky is having a poor season. Has not recorded a shut out this season.
- Columbus is a bottom dweller and would not even be considered mediocre. This team got spanked 7-0 to the 2nd worst team Edmonton Oilers.
- Columbus' head coach Todd Richards spoke about their butt whooping performance and stated that the team "just didn't care. "
